I think I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw the equations. While I have done calculus and whatnot, it has been a LOOOONG time and I hated it back then! Good on you dude!

This is like 9th grade level math. Lol.

Matt got busy with the calculator from a distance away while I cranked up the cutoff saw. Thanks again dude. Frame is cut, now I am taking a million measurements before I weld it.. this is stressful!

And just to make this clear for anyone looking at this thread for advice in the future, do not waste your time taking measurements off of mirrored nurserts and frame holes. A few threw me off since they weren't perfectly even on both sides. Cross measurements from known mirrored points is the accurate way.

Time to melt some steel

I'm not sure what's happening, but I like it.

Not gonna deny it, this is a tad out of my ballpark, but there's only one way to learn!
Matt's giving me s*** because he is extremely jealous and wishes he would have gone through with the frame swap;)

Cheering you on bud. The best way to learn is on someone else's dime

Are you fish-plating over the cut and re-weld?

J
I appreciate your concern Jason, I am indeed plating it on the outside and inside.

You can be the best welder in the world.... But if the measurements are wrong... its trash...

just saying...

Oh right, you should see our text group he's been measuring non-stop for days :D

Did you see a measurement that was off? Everything looks to be dead nuts on based on the above.

I have 0 doubt that this frame will be stronger than OEM. The plates are coming together nicely
