Old Man Emu suspensions perform well with little to no maintenance. Either SLEE Off-road or Cruiser Outfitters can give you recommendations on shock and spring configs. I have been happy with my setup from OME.

Talk to Slee or Cruiser Outfitters about your specific desire re ride & height & purchase through them. Both shops are 100% reliable. If in Stockton, CA area and seek an installer, talk to Georg at Valley Hybrids. If near Golden Colorado…Slee…,or Salt Lake in Utah—Cruiser Outfitters.

I have a 2008 and starting to think about a front bumper. I'm not a huge fan of the minimal style stuff, and haven't really found something that is just "right" for the 2008-2011 models.

Anyone care to expound?

It’s brand new and not sure anyone has it yet but this one looks to be the tightest and cleanest to me:

That’s quite the quarter panel gap…

Agreed!

Easy fix though, when removing stock bumper trim some off right there
Probably the right amount to avoid metal on metal contact during flexing. A variety of trim bulbs are available one could use to make it look more cosmetically finished.

yeah I have trim on mine. It looks ok, I’ve never been impressed with the bulb trim on the front.

The center bull bar hoop supports look thin to me.

I had issues with my bumper on my 2013 contacting the bottom of the headlights as there’s a tab on them. 2008-2011 don’t have them. I’m now suspect of any bumper that replaces all the plastic unless I can see a closeup of how that is cut/fits. I had to grind mine to avoid contact

It wouldn’t be a bumper install without some chopping and grinding.
Probably more an LX problem as most of the stuff is made for LC panels.

Did you end up getting one of these?

No Sir… front bumper is awfully low on priority list/radar

If anything, will do a simple ARB non swing out rear

Figured it time to provide a couple of photos and a quick review of the CC Bumper installed by Long Range America.

Absolutely love this bumper. Nice clean lines, no obstructions, cosmetically lines up with the LC's factory lines (my opinion), nice and flush with little overhang. The attention to details about winch location, a fully integrated bull bar is a plus for potential animal strikes living in the mountains.

Currently I feel this is the best looking bumper for the 200 series but obviously biased.

Shout out to the Long Range America team for all the help and getting it done on schedule to keep me on the road trip.

Have additional photos for anyone on the fence.

The CC looks pretty good. I have the Dissent. Honestly I'm not sure there is a 100% slam dunk out here. The TJM/ARB/IronMan ones look like a tug boat that you could land a helicopter on. The Dissent while nice does have a bit of an Erector Set look that turns some folks off. The CC looks more tucked up than the other OZ solutions, but looks a bit weird from the side. I think I'd have to see it in person.

No matter what getting a front bumper is super subjective. We all have our own tastes. I'm just glad we have some choices out there.

@Nemo if you are ever over in Crested Butte, give me a yell. I'd love to see that one in person.
