Fair enough - look for wear marks on the flared lips of the cups, I forget which side was the more likely one, but passenger seems right.

It generated enough 'pop' & interference that it takes the coating off the spring there & cup lip, should see 1/2" of bare steel if this is the issue for now pre- 3 link.

Had similar issue on friends rig, finally got on a creeper and let him drag me back and forth on the driveway listening for the noise. Finally decided it was the springs.

OP, Did you ever find the cause of your snap? I still have not found mine but it's happening more frequently now.

Mine has been doing something similar for about a year and a half now. I think it’s a body mount? Every time I check the important stuff, it’s all tight so aside from being annoying, I haven’t gone too far on the search.

I guess one of these days I should check the body mounts because that seems like the most likely culprit.

I would make sure you check the steering box welds if you wheel hard. If they start to crack it makes the sounds described.

Spring on bumpstop bucket? There is a small lip, springs bow toward them on the front side. Mine only did it after a 3” lift.
