Hello Everybody,

I'm in the market for a complete replacement tub and for me, the Teseven product seems to fit my every requirement in regards to originality, quality, and material selection. The only real problem is that they're not readily available here in the US. To that, I'd like to gauge if there would be any interest if these tubs were available in the US. I haven't landed the pricing yet and I know this is usually the big determining factor, but my preliminary thought is that they will be comparable or slightly cheaper than the currently available complete tubs. If anyone is interested please contact me at my email below.

hello

Here is the first full stainless steel body

she is very strong and very true to the original.
I upgraded finishes and increased production in my company.

after the French tax information is not valid in U.S.
the price for this stainless steel body, 6074.10 USD

Unless the price point has changed, it would be difficult to convince me to not buy local for 1/2 the $.

Double checked Aqualu's site. For Tub, Cowl, & windshield frame, it'd be about $7000... So more or less the same money... But a drive away.

I'd see some interest, but price point will be a huge factor for most of us. Even for $3100, I could likely pay someone to fix my tub and paint the truck... Although I'd likely need to do a lot of prep to keep it to that price point.

It is unlikely that prices have come down since 2010.

I know when I visited Aqualu in 1992 their tubs were $1500-1800 ish. Cool place, and they were happy to show me around.

And Aqualu is a quality Canadian company with highly skilled fabricators; these tubs are made in France....home of Renault, Citroen, Peugeot, and the largest government-owned white flag manufacturing industry on earth. I'd stick with known quality rather than unknown European creations.

Perhaps the very worst Car we ever had in Australia was the Peugeot....made our Saab seem reliable.

The product from France looks to be of excellent quality from what I've seen. However the fabricator speaks no English . I tried several time at working a deal ,even offered to go over there. I never could get anything started with him. He may just have too much business. Mike

you know….everybody seems to speak so highly of aqualu and i have to say…for all the hype about them both my father and I were pretty disappointed in the build quality and attention to detail that we found on the 3/4 tub that he put onto his '81 BJ42 as far as things being square (rear ambi door opening was like 3/8-1/2" out of square) and welding quality, none of the welds have broken but some look like it was the persons first time welding aluminum….did we get a lemon or?

These tubs are apples to oranges comparing to aqualu. Totally different product. Aqualu makes a solid product that is a good replacement option, but they are not at all intended to look or feel like factory parts for restoration (ok, neither is that one-off brass tub). I for one very much appreciate the skill in building these french tubs and am glad to see what else is out there. Funny, my winter driver is an 85 Renault, so maybe that hints that I couldn't afford one of these tubs either, nice as they are ;).

To those who doubt Fabien's work. let me tell you something, the man's work is legit!! Incredible workmanship, a true artist. He does it all himself and is a great guy. This guy is going places with the best.

I dont think anyone doubts his work. We just wish we could get his tubs in the USA.

Have you already visited his shop since 4:45 this morning?
Yes and I was very impressed with what I saw, he will be at SEMA in November. Remember, he is a one man shop, fabricating, restoring and repairing cruisers, he is a very busy man. Fabien's main business is currently in France and exporting tubs to other European countries.
