I need an SD40 carburetor complete. Someone must have one sitting on a shelf....

I have had two one was to the point Jim C said it could not be rebuilt.
Second one had a damaged choke plate and missing internal parts.

Engine, trans, transfercase have been rebuilt. This is one of the last pieces of puzzle to drive train.

Chris have you reached out to Mark @65swb45? He might have the parts you need using the two you still have?!?!?

One I have and it is missing parts and the choke plate is mangled. The other one I do not have but can purchase for $575 and it is missing accelerator pump linkage and rod. Also needs rebuilt so is unkown if anything is wrong with it inside.

Just a thought. Why don't you run it with a NOS D40 small window carb for the time being. They come up often enough for under $400.

It saves your build from getting stalled and you then have the opportunity to find a usable SD40 in good time.
