I agree it is a bit small, but it fit my Springfield XD-SC 40 with lots of room to spare. I haven't tried any larger frames yet.
There might be room to build a shallow lift-out tray to sit on top of it. I'll have to kick that idea around a bit though...

Do you have the mag extender grips for your Sub compact?
Ordered, looks like an easy fit for an XD-S 45. Will test with the XD-S 7 round extended mag. Thanks sdnative for the sale heads-up. 
just did mine and really love it....... it's limited it what it can fit but I have two that do.....

I read the whole thread and I might have missed the info I am looking for. The OP put his in a '95 LC.

After 2 years, this is still one of my favorite mods. I use it all the time.
I am glad to know that you guys are still happy with this setup and still glad you did this to your trucks.
I found this thread while looking at other center console threads. I wanted to pull the trigger so bad on the waeco fridge center console because it accomplishes so many things. Higher arm rest, cup holders, and a dozen or so cans of cold beverage at hand. For my personal situation, and for me personally, I was worried that the 'novelty' of the fridge would wear off and I would end up driving around with a cold empty fridge. I already own a 50qt fridge for the back of truck that I use for camping.
Everyone has a set of parameters that they make decisions from. For me, as soon as I saw this safe, I knew this was what I wanted to do. Thanks for posting this originally Hoosier Daddy!

LINUS - does it help any if I tell you I own both an 80 (fun/weekend/offroad/camping vehicle) AND a Prius (daily driver).
While I don't currently own, I will soon having taking basic saftey courses on handguns. The OC is one of the most relaxed on CCW here in the PRK, so will apply.
