SOR sells one but you could probably have one made for the same price and have them make it a couple of inches wider. Thats the only thing I dont like about the Best Top. For the 40 it needs to be about 3 to 4 inches wider.

sor wanted to rake me over the coals for an H55...which is why i do not have an h55. $500 for shipping for a tranny to a buisness addy with a fork lift/loading dock is a little silly...do they charge 200 for pallets now????
 
OOOPS, I made a mistake,

the 55 and the 81 60 together with the extra 55 hood, mini truck ps set up, 3f head, and 95% of all parts needed to do a 3fe are $2975

thats $800 for 55
$1400 for 81 60 (with a rebuilt motor, like new) 99% vehicle, xfer, transmission etc
$200 mini truck ps
$500 for 3f parts to make 2fe head, intake, fuel injectors, wiring harness, computer, lots of parts
$75 for a set of 5 wagon wheels for a disc brake set up

I have edelbrock chevy top end parts. Some new.

You REALLY don't want to keep the 3 speed in that 40. Make the switch to the 4 speed and don't look back. Use the 3 speed for your sailboat boat anchor.

ive got 2 4 speed transmissions from 40's
3-4 gauge clusters
multiple seat belts, lap and 3 point.. you might want to load up the wallet and plan a trip to

how much for a 2 lap belts and a working cluster?
 
As many of you have seen, I have been back and forth on whether or not to keep my 40. The situation is that I have not enough room to store everything and the 40 doesn't get used much. I have tried to sell it outright or trade for a boat, but I guess the market for wheeling rigs is pretty slim right now.

I have decided to take it down in size to recoup some cash to pay for the repairs on my backhoe and hopefully make it smaller for the garage. Maybe if it is smaller and easier to drive on the road I might use it more.

If anyone is interested in pumping there 40 up substantially, we need to talk. I have a killer SOA setup with tires that I would trade for a SUA lift and tires and can give you as much as you want to complete the install on your rig.

Briggs and Stratton starters, i have a few off of an OHV 17 horse with steel ring gear on starter. This will work on most single/twin cylinder briggs engines.

They sell new OEM for over 120 bucks, new aftermarket for 70-80.

These are off of engines that blew from dirt intake with very low hours.

Will sell them for 25 each or 35 shipped
