The pedals are the same. Shifting with the left hand is a bit odd. You have to think about what you are doing since there is no muscle-memory to draw on. Turn signals and wipers are ass-backwwards and I find I want to stop at mail boxes.:p

I found juggling the coffee cup to be interesting as well.

I wonder if you could just swap in a LHD combo switch instead of the whole column.

You would first have to find one. That is a bit of a tall order on a 25-year-old 24 volt vehicle.

I will just have to look stupid on occasion when it is not raining......:)

Long term it's probably not a good idea to mix LHD and RHD charateristics. That would be bound to confuse anyone who is used to operating a RHD vehicle.

Chicks dig RHD....

Like that matters........

Let's see.............Backing through the drive up window at the latte shop......:p

Perhaps install the LHD column and leave the RHD column in place? This way, spotting is not required :hillbilly: Would be a good way to give driving lessons.

C-Dan - I can imagine that's a bit tough. After driving for a "few years" we get set in our ways!

But it is a very cool truck.

The hardest part by far of RHD is going to the wrong side of the vehicle. My kids were keeping track but lost interest at about 10,000......Kids are also growing out of the "fun" associated with being on the left and reading a book or otherwise showing other people that they are not paying attention while "driving"

I'm thinking a big dog in the left seat would be better.

headlight switch and horn relay. you still have them? I also wouldn't mind looking at the wiring and maybe get some parts from the harness.

Let me know when when you want to come by. It is sitting in the garage so its warm and easy to get to

Shawn, I have a bunch of connectors from a FJ62 harness. You would need to re-terminal them. You are welcome to pick through the bag.

Edit: most of the connecters take the common 1/4" roll-over-crimp spade terminals, which I have.
