sorry i couldn't let that go.:hillbilly:

Some foul up with the HDC web site or some problem that Ron created. Dunno what happened but my ID got swapped with Mike's ID. Now I am Beowulf and from the above post it looks like he is using my ID.

Ron,
Please fix this ASAP before that goof ball Maynard says anything else to embarrass me.

I wonder what the profit could be had by having that stripper pole. Maybe my 40 could be done by now? Jon's not the only one.

'77 FJ40 on West Side

I saw a '77 FJ40 for sale parked at Eagle Ranch and Coors. Truck appeared to be pretty close to orignal and was in pretty good shape. Color was dark green. Had white wagon wheels and ~33" Super Swampers on it and a couple inches of lift, maybe from shackles. Sign said 79K miles. Front seats had been replaced with newer ones, jump seats were installed but a rear bench was bolted to the floor. It had a HDC sticker on the right side by the vent in front of the door but I don't recognize it. The Price listed was $7,800 and phone was 385-0417, Matt.

Does anyone know this truck or the owner? It's not familiar to me.

They show up at the u-pull occasionally. I might have a pair in the garage.

I have been checking regularly with the U-pull. The 4x4 Toys don't last very long. If you can part with the pair in your stash I have cash :D

Black Canyon Shower tent for camping

Impulse buy, need to sell. I used it once

Size is 4.5' x 4.5'. The internal frame can easily support a shower bag. The tent sets up like a normal tent with shock cords and takes about ten minutes or so. It has a nice floor and lots of shelves for soap dish, towel rack, etc.

Asking price is anything over half the cost of new, which was $80. So, let's say $50 OBO. :D

Hmm, neat link, thx!

Luv the fees: battery, tires, decal removal... got some Crown Vics in there too, along w/a utility trailer.

And way down the list: "no keys provided."

I think you just need the Bill of Sale and the VIN and Dan will make the keys...

Nope, not on the older trucks. Best, and probably only way to get keys is with the key code on the passanger side door lock ... assuming you can get into the truck in the first place.

Updated

1990 Turbo Supra. Complete, original, and unmolested. 70,500 miles according to the owner. Metallic light blue. Automatic. Excellent condition and adult owned. Current owner bought it 2 years ago from original owners who were retired. Current owner is an older guy... maybe even older than me. :D

I met the guy about a year ago in the parking lot at work. I commented on the condition of his car and he launched in to a discussion. He is also retired and has a bad back. He told me last year that he has been thinking about selling the car because it hurts his back when he drives it so he doesn't drive it much.

He called me a few minutes ago and said he will sell it for $8,000. He said he is going to put it in the paper this weekend so move quickly if you are interested. That price is high based on KBB.

PM or call me for his phone number.

Hey guys...

I haven't been around in a while, but that is only because I've been obscenely busy with work. I still have my pickup, and I still have intentions of wheeling...although when is anybody's guess...

ALL THIS STUFF IS FREEEEEEE! Just take it away!

I've got 2 Sony CD changers for a home audio system that need to go. Neither has seen much action, and I've got remotes and manuals for both.

One is a 5 CD carousel style that I hardly used, and is in excellent condition.

The second is a 200 CD changer that saw a little more use but is in great shape too. This one found a home- Thanks!

I've converted everything to MP3, and as such have no need for these. I checked eBay and for the price they go for shipping would kill the deal. If you can use one or both, let me know and they're yours. I hate to see them go to goodwill...

I also have an early style (79-85) pickup rear axle assy. It's missing the pinion flange, but is otherwise intact and probably buildable. Would be great for a utility trailer if you want one. It's here until next weekend, then it's off to the scrap heap.

There are also 2 or 3 solid axle pickup steel wheels (stock toyota 15x6?) in the backyard that need to go. Again, they're FREE. These also are gone!

Need something else? I've got tons of 22R and 7M engine parts. Stock front valance for a 84-88 truck, prerunner style spare tire carrier, who knows what else in the shed. Let me know if you need something specific and it's yours, likely for free! I need to clean up and cut down on my stash of car parts...

FREE: Entire FJ40 project

OK, the time is here: I'm going to finally let my 40 go.

Here are the details. If you have questions, please feel free to email me at aley@lechugilla.com.

'71 FJ40, in pieces. Theoretically enough parts to build a complete truck, although I'll guarantee that some of the nuts and bolts will be missing. Other minor parts may be missing as well (it's been moved several times since being disassembled), but fundamentally everything you need is there.

The body is mostly disassembled (except for the top, which is still together although not on the truck). It's the body style with a liftgate on the top and split lower doors on the tub, so you don't have to get a filler panel to run with the top down. The tub is off the frame and everything that can be unbolted from the tub is unbolted. It's got some rust in many of the usual areas (under the rear doors, the rocker panels, and some areas of the floor).

The frame is separate and has been sandblasted and painted. It's stock except for the lack of the factory shock towers. The frame is sitting on the springs and axles, although they're not properly bolted together at this point. The springs have had their wraps lengthened to allow more droop, and it's set up for a springover configuration, although the spring perches are not yet welded to the axles. Because of this, it would be easy to set it up as either springover or springunder.

It includes the '65 engine that was in it before I took it apart. Yep, if want the truck, you gotta take the engine. ;) There's also an SM420 transmission with good innards but a cracked case that goes with it.

It also includes all the ancillary parts that go with a 40 - turn signals, steering column, heater box, glovebox door, pedal assembly, master cylinders, 3-speed transmission with transfer case, minitruck disk brake front end, et cetera ad nauseum. As I said above, it includes basically everything required to build an FJ40. I'm unaware of any major parts that are missing.

It's just the thing if you want a project, or if you want lots of parts for your 40. Maybe you need a rust-free hardtop, or turn signals, or whatever. The catch is, you have to take all of it - no cherry-picking the parts and leaving me to haul off the rest. :D

The price? Free. Zero, zip, zilch, nada, nothing. Free. If you want it, you have to take care of the cost of transferring the title, and you'll have to haul it off, but you don't have to pay me anything for it. Email me (aley@lechugilla.com) and let me know you want it, and when you'd be available to come collect it. If I get multiple people requesting it, I'll pick one lucky soul to get it. Ideally I'd like it gone sooner rather than later, but I'm fairly flexible on when it goes.

I will ask, though, that if you ask for it, please be willing to commit to actually coming and picking it up when you say you will. It's hard enough to give this thing away once - I don't want to have to do it twice.

Email sent Dave. Hopefully, not too late.
