Anticipation of getting window up was killing tonight. Now my 6’3” frame doesn’t fit too well in back and wearing cowboy boots and jeans only made it more interesting.

Got access plate off and confirmed that red wires that were sticking out look like jumpers to the up and down wires off motor.

Couldn’t find #10 socket last night if my life depended on it but was able to find my wires with alligator clips immediately. Tomorrow with some more appropriate clothes I’m gonna cross my fingers and hope I see some window movement.

Back window going up and down, a beautiful thing
Wish it was that easy. Rear door handle is broken and I can't drop tailgate. The presence of wires is at least encouraging that the motor may work. The gear is going to be broken cuz I have no idea which box my spare are in?

Looks like plenty of grease has been applied to the regulator though so someone was playing back here...

Delancy had new OEM rear handle and it belongs on the cruiser so that along with the driver window is top of my list right now.

The only way I could be more excited about this project is if it was sitting in my shop..

Congratulations and thank you for bringing us along!
Pretty certain Delancy would want me too...

No luck getting power to rear window with wires present.

Gonna have to read through all the rear window stuff again and see how to handle door handle broken and unable to raise window. Pretty much stuck right now…bummer

You'll get it! It's only metal and mathematics 🧐🤔🙂😉. Hopefully they still teach dat in schooool 😯😳🧐🤔🙂😉😘😘
Bob sure would be helpful if it were up a little. School i went to didn’t teach that. Microbiology not helping much here.

I’m guessing I’m gonna have to try and get the L brackets free to remove the window to make any progress.

Everything is bypassed so power to the appropriate red wire should trigger motor unless short between my leads.

Before I go down easier route I like to try and figure out the most complex complicated way to do it!!!

Only wires to the board are the motor itself. The wires from the front are terminated in the bottom of the tailgate. Not sure if Chris or the PO before Chris made the work around with the wires which correspond to the up and down wires. I inspected the wires and shortened them to remove area's where they were crimped and questionable.

Continuity check! Power of suggestion didn't work either...

Saw some of my posts in the rear window thread, I had it good on that one and didn't realize how nice the set up was.

Ya know after fixing the first one it really isn't that difficult. Of course, when window up it's much easier.

I look forward when the window is out of the way making everything functional. If no continuity I am back at square one am I not and undoing the glass is my only option?

Enclosed trailer hooked up for tomorrow. Going to get rest of pig parts from Chris's storage unit, should be interesting to see what he had acquired. After that Off to another mudders house in Tulsa to pick up some 77 40 axles to rebuild for the 69 Pig. Also secured some decent seats and a hard top for our 77 40.
