Non-factory color scheme? Hmmmp!

My “lift” consists of two cherry pickers.

It’s been hinted at several pages back now. At least the frame. The color I’m painting the body has yet to be disclosed. Non original colors. Probably gonna be a huge disappointment for the purists.

Since it’s so pure we will be pissed....

Non factory engine - Mmmmhmm
Non factory transmission - mehhhh
Non factory color scheme - UNFORGIVABLE!
As nice as you are doing all the work it's going to be cool enough the paint color isn't really going to matter. Look at what @wngrog did with Rusty Brandy Wine Burgundy on the Warthog, he somehow made a rusted out burgundy station wagon look desirable and I'm kind of digging it now.

Well, to be fair, some of the colors people choose are really bad.

Yes, that is quite true.

I’m blushing that you think anything I’m doing is cool🥰

And have to totally agree about NG’s pig - that thing has achieved full beast-hood!

Haha. Dud to stud.

As for the off red paint. That’s what came on it. Well, not exactly. The 1977 parts were all blasted but the hood and it was Cygnus white with the cool rusted spots so instead of Mulleta red (how perfect is that name) and bright white it is ugly maroon red (to match the then unpainted tailgate and doors from the donor 73) so it is The goofy maroon red and the goofy off white.

it’s mostly two colors now. Three of you count rust.

But @RUSH55 I agree with your idea of keeping it quiet until you do
It because the level of input from the peanut gallery here can be overwhelming at times.

Stop! Remember we have to live with him down here in the sty. :)

Looking good and working good are two different things. J Mack will be getting fat on buttered popcorn until I blow a shackle or something off on the trail before he refers me to page 236 of the leaf spring manual

Honestly I believe everyone down here in the sty are some of the most imaginative car enthusiast I’ve ever interacted with, the iron pig has the least amount of aftermarket or factory support of any of the land cruisers and somehow you guys continue to build completely bad a$$ rigs seemingly out of thin air with limited tools and work space.

So yeah it’s always a good time seeing how each of you approach the common issues in creative ways and I think it’s all cool.

So the Limo is Blue/White 278 (854+031)?

Too few red/white Pigs in the sty. That Muleta Red kinda looks like bbq sauce. Perfect for well prepared pork.
