I know what I have. No low ballers.
French version: "pas de temps à perdre" - i.e., no time wastersone of my favorite lines : "Don't bother me with low ball offers. I know what these are worth." Usually found on an add for a $500 rat pile with a $10,000 asking price.
Sam“ nut and bolt restoration” the ebay version of this is....everything gets a new coat of paint, I mean everything!
This kind if applies to this thread and This will piss you off... I was driving last year to A location for work and happened to see a clean 77 FJ40 sitting out in front of a new car dealer. I stopped by to just have a quick look. It was very clean and all original, and looked like a “true survivor” haha. I was promptly greeted by a salesman who informed me that it was a single owner with 33,000 original miles, which I actually believed due to its condition.
There was one problem. When I looked underneath to look at the frame and rear sill, I discovered they had done the old undercoat trick to the entire frame, floor, suspension etc.....AND....over all of the dirt and mud that gets trapped in the rear sill area! They had not cleaned it and undercoated over years of dirt! I mean a big wod of black dirt. You could have knocked it off in huge chunks. What a shame, why would someone undercoat a vehicle that is 1 owner original! Now you have no idea of the condition of these components because of the black tarry mess!! Shame on you, idiots!!! I know somebody probably bought it without even noticing or caring.....but come on!!!
