Uhhh…..would this involve cutting those off as I have heard described? If so, I will not be going down this path.
For the record, these did not work.....see post #82 below

They fit the turn signal and bright indicator, but too tall for the two cluster spots…aarghMaybe take a look at these.... 194 LED - 2700K or 4000K units < click here >
And be sure to disconnect your battery FIRST...not easy to get the cluster out without something touching the dash, and being that this ain't the Fourth of July, you may not want to see fireworks just yet![]()
you can led the turn signal indicators, with no "extra" work.Leave the indicators unless you want to play with resistors.
Do that to especially early model with OE flasher, bulbs, wiring and poor body grounds and you may just be in for a surprise. But let us not derail this thread unnecessarily with a de minimis aspect where the visibility of gauges is the main objective.you can led the turn signal indicators, with no "extra" work.
These are a no go, as well. Too longHmmm…seems a bit shorter, and a decent amount of warm white output. See any reason not to try?

Alright, tired of buying bulbs that don’t fit with the shield. You have my full attention! Please show me an example of what you’ve found that meets your description above (and preferably in a warm white). Many thanks!Don't overthink it. Buy the dead cheap Chinesium T10 LED with only a few led blocks on the side (not on top), stick it in and you can see well enough. Leave the indicators unless you want to play with resistors. You will see well enough with the shields in place still. It's not as if you are driving a refined vehicle NVH, steering and handling wise, why go for ultimate in terms of lighting of a cluster.
As GA has shown, get those which we know you can get Stateside. The maximum height of the bulb should be under 27mm. This is the max you can get in, but they are a squeeze -Alright, tired of buying bulbs that don’t fit with the shield. You have my full attention! You have the later style cluster which takes T10 bulbs instead of the earlier BA9 style you have.I apologize for my ignorance... I am the least mechanical person I know. How do I get these LED bulbs into the plastic cap here? It does not fit at all? The base of the LED bulb and the original bulb are completely different. Thank you.
