Ordered up some supplies to relocate my battery in the back. I have decided to attatch it to the back side of the rear shock crossmember. I hot some 0 gauge wire and some marine remote battery terminals to mount on the fender.

Good idea with the breaker - I wired all the accessory blocks/panels on mine with one, it's good insurance.

Thanks man. I thought the other benefit would be if the truck is going to sit for a while then I just just trip the breaker to cut power rather than add a whole other switch for this.

Been doing a lot of welding on my 80 series lately so I'm not as rusty now...

This is where I'm at so far. I didn't really stop to think how it would be to lift a 31 series up their till now haha.

Picked up these baby's for a great price for my fj80. 275 a piece! Would have been stupid not to buy them I think.

Well the new battery is hooked up. I need to tie down some of the wires and tidy up a few odds n ends such as the old ground wore that's hanging, but it runs. Starter spins with authority now which is nice. Circuit breaker is rated at 120amp, my alternator is rated at 90. So if something crazy happens hopefully it trips. I also double loomed the major wires. Plastic loom with mesh over top. I like the marine terminal. And now their is much more real estate under the hood. Hopefully I can massage 2 a.c. compressors on the 2f now. We shall see.

Started on the a.c. First I cleaned up that portion of the firewall. Bottom bolts for the blower motor were kinda a pain.

I don't care much for the supplied control knobs. So i installed the old fa

ctory ones. What do u guys think? I can leave them as is, or fill the letters and just engrave a simple line on them. Any other ideas?

I got the a.c. unit mocked up loosely. Overall impression is ok. I'm disappointed in the electronics, the look very fragile. Maybe ok for a car, but not a truck of any type. Not sure why they couldn't just keep it cable controlled. Too late now, hopefully they survive a while.

Did the vintage air knobs fit the stock dash holes? I think one pic is double posted. What did the ones from the kit look like?

This is taking forever, I keep running into things to fix as while it's apart. I made a paper template to prepare for cutting some firewall insulation.

Here it is with the insulation affixed. I used Velcro here n their to hold it to the firewall so it's easy to remove rather than glue it on.

I stopped by my relatives shop called Colorado Toyota specialists and they are working on a fj60 v8 conversion. Saw the front axle that's fresh with arb, gears, and rcv's.

So my mission recently is to see if I can stuff 2 a.c. compressors on the passenger side as well as the alternator. Will it work? Time to find out. Here is my old set up I made when I was about 19 years old and have been using since...

I removed all that and got a hold of a fj60 motor mount that holds a compressor. I had to make a custom tensioner for the compressor here. I cut some 2" angle iron up for this. The fj60 tensioner won't work for this.
