The paid receipt and warranty being packed into a zip lock bag and securing it to the item is one of the best things I have done, washer/dryer, tv, battery, etc.

Repaired my leaking beadlocks and installed new bolts, repainted the ring although it will just get beat up. I also installed led reverse lights which I can't believe I have never done up to this point.

I was able to get my ram assist hooked up. I have to tidy it up a bit but it seems to work fine. Took longer to adjust than i thought. Barely into my test drive suddenly anything over 1000rpm and the engine would stall. My android Bluetooth adapter for my fuel injection was stolen when my 40 was broken into in the dumpster fire called Denver Colorado. Apparently the thief has a gm tbi setup he wants to monitor or he thought it looked like something he could cook crack with. Anyway I have a regular scanner that will work if I had the adapter. So I bought the adapter. With that I found the tps and map sensor were bad. Now I'm at sea level it doesn't start well. I made some changes to some of the fuel tables. Haven't tested it out yet.

This was a bit nerve racking. I cut the shaft. Then you have to cut the locker fork. Then the axle and collar was free. Then I beat the broken shaft out of the collar. Collar looks ok.

@White Stripe Any ideas on why this may have happened

I was stuck on some rocks and bound up in post 605. One axle snapped. The other twisted. I stalled the 8472 trying to get free. I replaced the broken axle a while ago. I've been putting this repair off some time. The locker still worked. I've used it as is for a while. It's always fun talking about breaking stuff...until I have to fix it haha

I added a large fill plug for convenience. Seemed like a good time to do it. I welded the housing back up. Then i recessed the drain so its flush. Things seem to be going ok. I need to clean the 3rd member and housing really well . The Toyoda sticker looks like it will make it.

Redid the tail pipe, I liked how it was before until it got smashed on rocks. This is a little different and I like the look:

I bought a 1st gen nv4500 for a LS swap. However the 2f is running especially well after adjusting the tune a bit last time. The ignition timing tables I made are giving great power for what it is. Its not fast obviously compared to a v8, but its got a very good linear power feel to it and very responsive. I don't know if its worth doing a swap.

I found the transmission along one of my road trips on Facebook. It belonged to an employee that works at this shop that maintains this castle/hotel for the owner. He was building a square body 454 suburban frame off resto. Quite a few projects were going on in the shop. Very nice people.

Anyway I have the transmission, the rest of the components should be fairly easy to acquire. I will hold off on getting anything else for the swap until I'm ready to do it if ever.

I snapped the shifter off. I had welded it and I guess I didn't do a good job. I put a socket and extension over what was left from my tool kit and was able to shift.

My biggest issue is my CB radio isn't transmitting or receiving. I do get weatherband though just fine. I have no idea what's wrong. Also the belt for my AC wore out. I ordered a new one through a website called V-belt Guys. Really good prices. I upgraded to a bigger belt. The AC has been a life saver. Some of the trails have been very hot and very dusty. I just roll up the soft top windows, and crank up the AC. The other issue is the ram assist hose hit the belt drive and when the suspension is flexed out. So I secured it to the housing better. The hose will survive.

Can't believe I missed that you were at Uwharrie! I would have loved to say hi and meet.

How are you liking the southeast so far?

I always liked your cruiser. I think of the 2F still makes you smile. Leave it alone and take the money and spend it on gas/road trips in the 40
