Doing a 4speed trans to a 3 speed transfer for my 45LV build....need the 4 speed transfer output assembly and the floor linkage for the 4 speed transfer.

When I installed a four speed in my 68 FJ40 I used the early style four speed shifter that is like the three speed floor shifter. If you use the later simpler shifter the high/low lever of your three speed T case will be pointed in the wrong direction. Your lever points to the right but needs to the point to the front for the later style. To get it to point forward you need the piece the lever attaches to.

The earlier linkage is noisier, partially by virtue of having an extr link and the pivot bracket on the front drive housing. But if you get the later shifter, as LITP wrote, make sure you get the correct hi-lo piece for inside the case.

I think i have a setup at the shop if you want to call and leave a VM. I don't do PMs.
