I was going to call it “Tonk” as in Tonka truck as the PO put Tonka in big letters across the door.
I guess as is with nicknames you don’t give them to yourself so...

Something I learned while loading my rust bucket: If you step on the brakes they will probably lock up. Then you will have a pesky wheel dragging until you tear into it.
I don’t think the hand brake is as prone to locking up, so perhaps try that if you absolutely need a brake. I could be wrong though.

Hate to think what the frame must be like. Parts or not, it ain't worth much. If you do, by all means GOOD LUCK!

It is indeed sad to see another 40 just sitting while rusting away. If the owner simply parked it and walked away I wonder what mechanical problems it had at that time to cause the abandonment. After all the hard work getting it out of the jungle I hope you can do more with it than just a parts truck. Good luck.
Throw a new battery in it and drive it home.
For $1200 go and pick them up. Stop worrying about what you’ll do with them and just start.
I’ve bought several FJ40s for parts over the years and that’s well worth the effort in parts alone. If they both have titles then even better. Go get them and document the extraction process.

Got to the second 40 today. Not really sure there is much to salvage. I’ll post the rest of the photos tomorrow.

Doors look ok from that pic. That dude needs to pay you for hauling that thing out of his yard.
Be careful loading it on the trailer, may fall apart.
