I am the family OT (occupational therapist) helping to make accommodations for people and dogs aging or recovering from surgery (builder by trade). I find that dogs either accept using a ramp, or are clearly uncomfortable depending on the dog. (PS applies to some people as well.) By nature they do not like when the ground is not flat (believe I googled that trying to figure this out). So my advice is get a piece of plywood or a plank, I usually put carpet on it, and see if your dog will use it. I too had a ramp like the one in the pick, mine was free, I think I gave it away. They are available. (Don’t currently have dogs but have many in my “dog family”!)My wife picked it up for our 10 year old GSD but he doesn’t trust it. The pup will go up and down it all day. It’s a 6’ collapsing ramp with a non-skid finish. I think my wife found it at a Goodwill store. She probably paid $5 for it.
