Looks great Greg. I used the same gun for my Bantam T3-C trailer restoration. Just getting that little trailer painted was a feat. Can't imagine what sort of work it must have taken you to get a 60 series painted. Outstanding job. Enjoy it.

Thanks guys... reassembly starts tonight. Going to be busy next couple weeks but once I am back and have some time she will get a little more loving with a DA polisher, possibly DA Sander, and some cut and buff compounds to take down the orange peel and bring some shine to her.

I know you responded to my instagram comment Greg, but didn't see it on here, can you post up the details on the paint you used? It sounds like what I'd like to use on mine.

@cruisermatt Here is a pic of the can and hardner.. It is a Sherwin William/AIC "Farm Implement" Enamel. Comes in only basic colors with no metallic fleck. Color I used is their darkest "cool" gray. Saw two gray cards, one cool and one warm. Cools definitely have more blue tint to them, warms have more red/brown.

Sorry been raining off and on the last two days so I haven't really been able to get any good photos.
Here is a quick one in the office parking lot.

Working on stripping the crap paint job I did on the front grille. So she doesn't really have her full face of make-up on yet.

ooh aah
Love the color. Reminds me of classic Mercs, but then again my monitor is a little wonky.
Know what you mean about the grill. Literally first thing I did with mine was ditch the PO's crappy "murder" job. Tedious in the extreme.

Looks really good, man. I'm going through a lot of the same projects that your build shows. Your pace is a lot quicker than mine. I wish I got to some of my rusty spots much earlier but found out that some hack auto body work had been done good enough to hide some problem areas. Your build thread is an inspiration.

Awesome looking truck dude!

LOL... @Hojack you are actually the first person to ever say they did not like them. Good thing though is that they are stick n peel covers. Can easily pull them off and have clear lenses!

No hard feelings Greg... they just jumped out like HELLO!!!

Keep the yellow. It’s what gives it personality.

I thought painting was more involved than simply what you did... (not saying it was simple) just that I thought it went on and at some point was sanded and painted again? But what I understand from what you said is in a month you’ll just buff?
And the tape has to come off fairly soon too right or it will pull the layer off? What was the time frame when you started to pull?
