Wow, really looking good ... But the BILLION dollar question: When it's all back together, are you gonna let the :princess: drive it ?

:crybaby:

Well I leave for India on the 28th and its supposed to be ready on....drum roll... the 28th :bang:

Its still technically "her" truck until I get her the S5 she has been bugging the hell out of me for (which I am NOT going to do) or I find a really nice 100 series (which I AM going to do) :grinpimp:

Run away from the Audi, run away.

I thought about jet hot but I didn't want to ship it and it was more expensive. But not by much really. You can't coat the intake canister because Toyota uses an epoxy on it that won't survive the process. Or so I'm told

I had mine ceramic coated and then powdered black nearly two years ago I still looks great.

What about cooling? All new hoses and rad?

Your manifolds are purdy and now when I do my short block swap I probably will have a shop do that to mine.

Also you guys need to post over in chat about the Audis because I really would like to hear about your experiences with them because everyone I have spoken to has said run. I also am coming from the world of bimmer where my 06 750I was a POS

Yeah I posted in pretty early in that thread. Had the A4 and best car (most reliable) I ever owned. Gave it to my mom. Had the S4 with a few issues and then upgraded to the RS4. That thing was a freaking beast of a vehicle. But ugh was it plagued with issues.

NEW I.D. of the Throttle Body is now 72mm in case anyone is wondering. Did I take a measurement before it was bored out? Umm...well...no :bang:

So Beno hooked me up with a used head. I was kinda out of options and almost going to buy new. He had it pressure tested and hot tanked. Beno you rock!

Could be he feels bad about the $2500 in OEM crap that is shipping out tomorrow :P

The only problem that I had with my A4 Ultrasport was the glove box hinge broke (from having a heavy item in there) and I had to replace a battery. Its almost as awesome to drive as my Landcruiser!

Awesome. So how many horsies do you think .75mm is going net me. Money well spent. Awesome. :bang:

I have never seen a marked power increase with a board out TB. Some say they throttle response is better but they are also trying to justify the $$ they spent getting a .5-1mm boar.

You will not notice anything because you are doing 100 things at once and no one thing will make as big a difference as the S/C.

Oh I knew this going into it. I figured I would throw everything at it once as long as I am doing a whole engine rebuild and S/C. The 4Runner response was awesome so I am hoping for similar on the LX

Just talked to Jim at ProFlow who said that is about what he takes off as well because of the wall thickness.
