Didn't one pic have a Part number sticker on the fan?

Yup this one

Ok good :D

There was no cutting necessary. Plenty of space all the way around.
The 61020 I have is 17" OD. It sits pretty well centered in the shroud and it has less than 1.5" gap between the fan tip and the shroud. Hard to tell for sure, but it looks bigger than the one in your pic. Mine also back sets over the entire fan clutch, plus about 1/4", so the fan blade is about half in, half out of the shroud. Also, it has two little fins diagonal on the face of each fan blade. Don't know if it really helps move more air, or makes the blades less likely to pull forward at higher rpm, risking contact with the core. Not sure exactly what year/model/market it came from originally. John

So ya take a couple B's ya add a couple G's and you end up with D's.... simple math :grinpimp:

Got to drive the LX for about ten minutes. It is going in for smog in the morning and then I am off to AAA to get it registered. Then its good to go!!!

Richard went ahead and finished up the Photoman alt mod AND fixed my oil pressure gauge. Woohoo!!

So...

My thoughts on the motor...

Richard had a HUGE grin on his face when he told me "go drive it". I had no idea what to expect. HOLY CRAP!!

Off the line it bogs down...like a lot, then all of a sudden its like a turbo is spooling up and then lets loose. It hauls ass! And the S/C isn't installed yet!!!

Not sure why the big bog down off the line but we both think its the throttle body that is doing it. The big bore is affecting it. Not sure whats going to happen when the blower is packing even more air into it.

I will try and record some off the line "runs" and post 'em up. Don't expect any big RPMs cuz I'm not going to push it just it.

*EDIT: now that I think about it, I'm not sure the new Turbo Supra fuel pump was installed yet. That could affect it as well.

Getting smogged now. The high rpm tests make me nervous :P

So I went thru the box of stuff that wasnt installed. There's a water sensor, water pump and thermostat (turns out both replaced last year with the radiator), and of course the fuel sock and Supra fuel pump was not installed. Oh well, I can do that over the weekend I think. That might help the "turbo lag" problem.

Failed smog :bang:

* EGR has no vacuum. Most likely a bad modulator but it's only two years old. Hmm
* they couldn't find my OBD2 port. My fault, I turned it for the Scan Gauge2
* timing too far advanced, it needs to be at 3deg for the test. Bastards.

You should have paid for the pretest

That's painful but also strange. You must have done something really bad in your life to deserve this.

If the EGR isn't opening, the EGR temp sensor should set off your engine light. Is the engine light on?

How far advanced is the timing? Could incorrect timing be the casue of your "lag"?
