I’m still having trouble sleeping through the night since my surgery a month ago. When I can’t get back to sleep I end up on the couch and this big boy always follows me. It’s like he’s there to 1) watch over me and 2) give me sleeping lessons 😂😂😂. “You just do it like this grandpa.”View attachment 4008827
Looks like mine, though forget the available dog bed or couch - he just jams himself into a sleep pretzel in random room corners. Love this doofus..

So... Yesterday, while I was at the animal control picking up the stinky oldies, I saw a pup sitting in a cage by itself in the corner. I asked the lady helping us about what appeared to be a good looking champagne pittie puppy and she said I didn't want him, because his paw was all messed up.

I was born crippled as my feet did not point forward because of a hip issue, and I became irrationally angry when the lady said that. Needless to say, after we delivered the seniors, I drove straight back there and pulled that puppy.

Meet Rocky, a special good boy who doesn't know or care that his paw is kind of a mess.

Some lowlife just dumped these tiny pups at a trail where I was taking my big girls for a hike this morning.

Some friends in the foster game are helping us get at least one of these girls placed. I think my wife found a home for the other one (ours 😮)!

Last night I got another call. A good boy who was abused/neglected by his owner in Shelbyville Kentucky. He's a good 20 pounds underweight and has some kind of skin infection. This one came to our house, though... :)

5 hours later, and a medicated bath at Legion Pet Supply in Clarksville, he is finally resting in our barn.

He is going to be a project, so expect to hear more about him later

Glad he is now in good hands.
2nd picture with all that this guy has be through yet he still stands proud.

Thanks again for all you do !!

Hard to believe we’ve had this little nugget for a month now. The grandkids named him Storm so that’s official. He’s doubled his weight (12 pounds when our neighbors found him in a box) and looking like he’ll get pretty big. Not knowing his make and model has us all guessing.

Nice that Cal has been around for him too. We’ve had a big bobcat hanging around for the last week and Cal has chased him off twice now. We always make sure one of us is out with them. The Henry .22 is always nearby too.

Cute little fella !

Havoc turns nine today. He's my brothers dog, but he's spent most of every day with me as I work for myself from home. That couch comfortably seats three people...

About 18 months ago I got a call from my brother, "Hey, you're gonna get a call from an unknown number in 5 minutes. Answer it, you're getting a dog". Surely enough, the phone rings and Havocs breeder is asking if I want Havoc's nephew. There were some complications with the litter, this poor little bugger was the only one who made it. A few weeks premature, massively underweight, mum didn't take to him so he was being hand-reared, then at two weeks old she stepped on his leg and broke it. I couldn't say no, so we jumped in the car and drove 1780km/1100 miles return in a day to get him. He was tiny but full of bounce, I named him Ruckus. He's even bigger than Havoc now.
