Was able to get one more mounted and tested it out last weekend, performed great with no rattles! It's off to powder so more pics to come.

lookin' good

I've seen Ben's work in person as well. Absolutely top notch stuff! To echo what @ntsaint said- please follow through with Ben if you requested a bumper! He has obviously put a ton of time and his own money into these works of art.

Ben- when you get settled (and I do as well) I still want one of your bumpers!

Only 18 of 38 original responders have provided info?! I understand that sometimes things change, money is tight, etc. but more than half us/you?! The final product is off-the-charts better than what we all thought we'd be getting and if you had delusions that this beauty was gonna come in at $1500 you're nuts. Fair price for the nicest 100 bumper on the market!

Pay up buttercups

Thanks for the kind words!
I knew some would drop out but I'm a little shocked how many have not at least contacted me to tell me if they are in or out.
I have a lot of parts ordered due to how many wanted on the list, the point of the order list was so I could order the parts accordingly,
Now it seams I will have a lot of extra bumpers that I had to pay for up front!
I understand if things change but at least have the decency to contact me and let me know if your in or out.
I can see that most I have tried to contact are still very active on the forum so please let me know if your in or out and why.
Thanks !

Hi Benc,

Not on the list (but on "watch" for this thread).

I am contemplating a rear bumper. Issue is I am mentally struggling with custom "accessories", the biggie being a mountain bike rack that attaches (to swing away, or ?) and does not compromise departure angle. Other accessories include LP tank and other "stuff".

Being and engineer (good thing or bad thing:bang:) I was thinking I might have to design my own or design an interface for one of the robust aftermarket bike racks.

How this relates to pulling the trigger: devil is in details....I would need design details of bumper such that I can see if the dynamic loads don't tear anything apart (spindle, my mind, etc.).

The short of it....willing to purchase if you have any "deal breaker" unfilled commitments, but only after I am confident that I can interface with it.

Probably too much baggage for you knowing what you might have on your plate, but throwing it out there.

Looks like an excellent design and I hope you have a fully subscribed (and paid) second build run.

Sorry to hear that benc. I wanted to put my name on the list but I didnt want to do what it seems many have done. Plus, if finances are tough lately. I'm definitely NOT going to put my family on the line for a rear bumper.... no matter how freaking awesome it is.

A full line of accessories will be offered for the accessories side, bike rack, modular ladder, Jerry can/ice chest tray with slide out table, rotopax mount, propane mount, camp shower ect, ect.
It will take time to develope all these but they are in the plans and can assure they will be like nothing els on the market.

I plan on buying one but the timing isn't right yet financially. I dig my front bumper and want to add your back bumper to my rig when I have the money. Sorry to hear about all the people who are boning out on you. That's BS.

Hi Benc: now your talking.

Any idea when the bike rack portion will be ready for viewing?

I can be a guinea pig if you need one. Or, you can run your sketched concept by me (signed non-disclosure of course) as I am pretty particular in these thing. looking to haul 2 bikes along with other stuff off that rack.

Basically, hoping to have the system on my rig by late spring.

I'm not really in a place to give an exact time on when the accessories will be ready. Hopefully before then but depends or the orders. Another option if what ever I come up with does not fit ones need, an accessories arm could be ordered with no accessories and and you could build what you want. As with the tire rack I plan to have slotted holes all over the modular ladder which not only saves weight but offers endless options for bolting on accessories,
Even one that were not designed for the bumper.

Hey Ben, do you install your bumpers for people who are willing to make the trip or have an eatablished relationship with a local shop that could install it?

I am starting to plan my 2017 trips, and rather than have two bumpers shipped from Colorado to KC one week and then drive to Colorado 7 days later, i thought it might make sense to just have them installed while i am out there.

If this is something you would do, what would be the total cost for an installed, powdercoated front bumper with bull bar (no other options) and a rear bumper with swingout?

Ben is not in Colorado! He's in northern California.

Ben, sorry to hear about the hard time getting folks to keep their word! I'm on the list of those who can't wait to place the order but waiting on funds to make the commitment! For sure I want to have it mounted on the truck by spring but for now it's just wishful thinking!
Camping next to you guys helped a lot, the time your wife and Sarah spent together got her to get onboard with the build a bit deeper and planing more trips as well! Best of luck to you guys!

BTW, do you have plans of coming down to Pismo for the Turf N Surf in november? (11th - 13th) You guys should come! Bring a group from over there! Show off your stuff and we can get the families together!
