Those are for the sides of the front skid if the 4th skid is installed.
These allow the the skid to be installed over the bumper tie in for ease of removal for service.
I never got those on my kit. Went over the pallet twice. I guess I'll need those once you ship out the bumper, which i hope is soon :)

Sorry to hear about the damage!
Were yours still attached to the pallet?
Let me know if you have any trouble getting them straight.

Barely. Only had three bent to hell screws on one side.
I wasn't going to install them immediately, but i think i need to get them on, at least to know they fit and aren't fubar, before it's too late.

Bummer about the bent plates. It looks like they saw some rough travels. Hopefully they aren't to difficult to straighten out. Maybe you can leverage the plate in a good bench vise. They will probably conform a bit as you bolt them on too. I'd bet that you'll get taken care of if you cant sort them out well enough.
I wouldn't bother too much with the finish, polishing or powder coating them. Mine are just going to get scratched up anyhow. Hopefully they resist bending much after being bolted in place.

No kidding on the rough travels. I've had nothing but bad luck with heavy shipments from UPS. last time my slee sliders sat in Houston (my town) for two weeks and 4 different scheduled delivery days before i got a trailer from uhaul and picked them up myself.

I do have to say, nobody packs like slee. Nobody.

Ordered a set of bumpers from Ben in Feb. UPS lost 2 pallets of the parts during shipping so I don’t have a front or rear bumper. Ben shipped the center piece of the rear bumper last week so I could complete the rear and it was Supposed to be delivered today and now UPS seems to have lost that package. Ben is out of pocket on vacation so they won’t give me any information. So my rig is grounded for several more weeks. Thanks UPS!

At this point i'm willing to pay for anyone else for shipping other than UPS. They couldn't care less if they tried to. They've been dropping the ball on so many things lately.

I feel bad crying to people like ben because worst case scenario, it comes out of his pocket and UPS drops him. I think unless you're Amazon, they just don't give a crap.\

Even with amazon, last month UPS delayed delivery of a $700 printer to my office because of "natural causes", turns out someone damaged the box so badly, they delivered it in a bag inside a plain cardboard box, covered in stress cracks. Thankfully amazon took it back, refunded my overnight shipping charge and shipped the replacement overnight, which took UPS 4 Week days to deliver.

I know. I feel bad for Ben. They are giving him the run around on the other shipments already.

I received mine today, everything seems ok, but I won’t be able to dig into it till after HIH. I leave tomorrow and have no time for an install.

Bring it with you to HIH. Ben himself will be there as well as many other guys here who've recently installed them too. You have the best resources at your disposal, use them!

Ha! I have a few problematic bolts that will have to be solved. If Ben saw me waiting there with bolt extractors, drill bits, and taps I think he’d throw me off black bear pass.

My brother dropped off my truck back at my place and I feel stupid for making that earlier post because the pictures I posted were "work in progress" pictures. Apparently they installed the skids exactly how they should've been installed. I am extremely impressed with this product as was everyone else at the Lexus dealer that put them on. The quality speaks for itself. Thank you Ben!

I'm going to tackle this after i have breakfast and put the kids down for a nap, does it look like i have all the hardware? I can't seem to find the spacers I've seen mentioned here.

I have a diff drop but it isn't installed yet. I just want to get these skids on to make sure all is well.

You will need some spacers to install without the diff drop.
Do you have the diff drop kit? Is so you can use some the smaller spacers from that kit. You will need to bend the hook on the mid skid if you plan to install without the diff drop, bend it to the passenger side.
Once you install the diff drop you can bend the hook back and remove the spacers. You are missing the spacers for the sides of the skids, the must have come off the pallet and I apologize.
Those will not be needed until you install the bumper and bumper tie in skid.
I will need to make sure to get you those with the bumper.

Haven't read through all 15 pages yet but can you order these pieces one by one and is there a price list?

Didn't see them on the website yet.

I received my skid plate system today! Of course I haven't installed it yet, but from doing a visual inspection they look incredibly nice and robust! They were securely packaged to the skid and undamaged, I'm super excited to spray paint them black and install them. Thanks for the excellent product Ben!

Showed up yesterday, no issues with packaging, feel quite stout! Got a few bolts to drill out, but hope to have 'em mounted up soon. If only it wasn't 100* out...

@screendoor I'll try.
The rear 2 A holes(he he) need to be enlarged to fit the #4 pieces threaded portion up with bolts #6 and flat washers in the 4 A Holes.
B and C holes get #1 bolts with #3 washers.
D,E & F get #2 bolts and flat washers.
The rest should attach the Dissent front bumper to the skids, but since I dont have that part, I'll leave it up to someone else to explain or you to figure out. I did a write up of my install in my build thread too if that helps. Good luck.

Thanks to @Odyseuss, I was able to get the skids installed. I am wondering if I installed the 4th piece correctly. Has anyone else done it?

I can't figure where the little wings are supposed to go.

In case anyone else wonders about the hole enlarging, it is obvious which hole needs to be enlarged when you fit the back plate up.

I also went with larger washers (thick fender washers) in a few places where I couldn't get the supplied washers centered.

As a side note, two of the three diff protection plate bolts broke on mine. I was able to clean up one hole, but left the other for another day.

I used a jack to position and raise up the plates.
