Just got mine today! Super excited to install!

I am pleased to have my new Dissent skids installed. Big thanks to @benc for producing these, and thanks to all those that volunteered to wait patiently so that others of us can get our products first. These were a much needed repair and upgrade to my existing skid plates.

I did and install write up here in my build thread. Down at post#377 on page 19. Hope it helps.
2001 LX470 build LEGUSY

Just as a note, the supplied nut plates should be installed with the nut pointing upward, otherwise the press in nuts will pop out of the plate.

Can someone circle which holes in the skids need those nut plates? I had my brother's work install these but something tells me they did it incorrectly.

Are those spacers supposed to go in between the front and middle skid plate like they are installed on my truck or do they go directly between the diff crossmember and the middle skid plate?

Any issues with how I have it mounted right now?

I'm installing mine tomorrow. It looks like they didn't install 2 rear bolts on the transfer case skid. Those holes they would of had to drill out.

Does anyone have a picture of how to install those two rear nut plates? I read what Ben posted about the nut needing to be pointing upwards, but I just can't visualize it.

The nut plates go in the rear cross section near the torsion bar adjusters. These are a few pictures that I have of them installed incorrectly. I failed to notice that they need the threaded portion on top of the plate (Think nut and washer) instead of in the hole. see the part sitting on the skid plate, and the other rear hole.

Also, one of the pictures above in post #265 did not show the 3 flush mount bolts where the OE t-case skid mounts.

Does this look right?

He said they didn’t need to enlarge any holes or bend anything which doesn’t match what the other people are saying you need to do.

The rear holes that are missing the bolts are what needed to be enlarged, also the 3 bolts in th middle of the mid skid should be countersink washers and bolts. The spacers for the non diff drop are in the right location but should be installed under both skids and not between them, that is when the hook will likely need to be bent to the side.
With that being said your probably fine for hih.

What are these pieces for @benc ?

I originally thought that they might be associated with non-diff drop applications, but now I see that those spacers are different. They look similar to the sides of the front plate, but that doesn't make complete sense to me. In any case, the plates seem to fit fine without them.

How long is the install? 1-2hrs?

Where were these pieces packed? I didn't get them with my kit.

Just received mine after having UPS try and deliver since Monday (they're the worst when it comes to heavy items) and they included some free bends on the house. Hopefully i can straighten them out on a bench vice, this aluminum is THICK!

Now the question is, do i polish them to take out the scratches, rattle can them, or powdercoat.

Those are for the sides of the front skid if the 4th skid is installed.
These allow the the skid to be installed over the bumper tie in for ease of removal for service.
