That's real pretty from the front. Do you have a side view you could put up?

Never mind, I went back to page 2 and the side views there. Really nice looking bumper.

Got the lights wired up this afternoon.

Damn - I love this bumper but really want a bar to protect against deer strikes. Do you think one could be added fairly easily?
Unfortunately I don't think I could build one that would look right on here. I may play around with its bit though.

Something like the shape of the 4R Demello bumpers might me cool? But I see what you mean. There’s a lot of height between the bumper and the top of the headlights.

DEMELLO 4runner 2010-2018 3 HOOP Bumper

Even just the smaller center hoop would be nice and potentially help the radiator if you have a hit. I too am very interested but the biggest enemy will be a deer at 50mph+....in which case i'm sure some damage would be incurred.

Getting started on the rear!
One of the goals for me on the rear is to not only look good but to function as well, a big part of this is to have convenient towing accommodations!
Easy access to the plug, pin, chain hooks and recovery points are a must and I feel this is lacking in most current offerings. I am definitely finding out why as Toyota did not make it easy!
Another big hurdle with an aluminum bumper is strong recovery points. We decided to incorporate a steel recovery point/frame bracket that bolts directly to the frame, the aluminum shell will slide over this and bolt on with Countersink bolts. It wasn't easy but we also were able to fit the factory trailer plug into the face of the bumper. Here is what we have come up with so far. I'm also thinking of making a flip up hitch cove to clean up the look a bit.

Getting there!
Its definitely not an easy task on the 200 but I think we are on track to have one of the highest clearance options available! View attachment 1869664

I know what that shape is! Great talking to you today. Wish I had a 200 series as well! Interested how you in incorporate the tail lights for the 200.

Hey benc, what part of Northern California are you in? I'm interested in your bumpers, and I'll be moving to Sebastopol in a few weeks. I have a 2014, and I'm not ready to pull the trigger, but if having an earlier 200 around for fitment would help I might be able to leave my truck with you.

It's like beautiful artwork!

Seems the main design behind this bumper is light weight and great approach angles. Great job for that purpose!

Pretty sure it would take a significantly heavier design for an added bull bar to really do its job. I think @benc already noted something to that effect.

Hoops that don’t have full strength can end up being damage multipliers (like ARB’s Sahara Bar hoop, for example. Only held in place by two small bolts on top of the bumper).

I'm excited to see how this turns out
