I am interested in something that will fit a 2013. I think Slee's rear looks nice and have been considering it in the future. Things to me which would make it better than Slee:
  • Trailer wiring harness in the bumper, rather than undernearth.
  • Able to open the swingouts while my trailer is attached (e.g. lower support arms don't hit the jack)
  • Ability to swing whatever is mounted to the ladder to the side to temporarily allow ladder access
  • Bike rack swingout, or (possibly better) a (permanent?) method to mount bikes tied into one of the swingouts. I have a mental idea of what I'm looking for in this but not sure if it would be feasible.
  • Lighter?
Things to me which it needs to include/accommodate:
  • Parking sensors
  • Secondary tail/turn/brake/marker lights
  • Sufficient strength to to flex and damage the rear quarter panels when you come down on a rock
FWIW I'm in Chicago and only have one vehicle though so dropping my truck off in California for a few weeks isn't feasible for me.

Ben's rear bumpers have 50/50 swing outs so are perfect for towing a trailer.

x2 on the wiring in the bumper instead of down below. Ben's 100 series bumper puts the 7 pin connector right next to the hitch which is very nice. The 200 series OEM trailer connect location is down low and problematic for off-road towing.

I agree on the trailer harness location. Mine was busted when I bought the car and I have since busted the replacement on a rock. I'd love to get that up and out of the way.

As my recently departed 91 year old father used to say, “ if it lasts longer than 4 hours, call all of your friends to brag about it”

Great to see Dissent expanding to cover the 200 community!! Ben’s designs are as capable as they are innovative. And let’s face it, no one builds a better looking bumpers or roof rack for the 100. Period. Can’t wait to see what Ben creates for the 200!!

Yes, there will be holes for the sensors. Camera will likely need relocation. I will take a look at it when it's here.
Interested in Aluminum front and rear.

Will the parking sensors be integrated? Will the camera be completely blocked with the tire swing out and gas cans?

2017 LC.
Basically everything you have mentioned are already features on my current 100 bumper and will be carried over to the 200.
Trailer plug will be in the bumper if possible.
Swing out are short 3/4 length so no issues with the trailer, also no smacking you knees or your little ones heads on the excessively long swing arm.
3rd accessories swing out on the ladder for easy access to the ladder when accessories are mounted.
2" receiver in accessories swing out for bike rack
Aluminum options will be extremely light.
Will have a place for parking sensors.
Will likely not have a production option for aux tail lights but with everything being built in house custom is an option.
Will be extremely strong and will be able to ship.

Looks Great Ben. I am not thrilled with my ARB rear and may swap out in the future. My bank account is a bit empty with building my new garage so it would be a bit.

To others, Ben is a standup vendor with quality products. I have drooled over them the last few years at Cruise Moab and was disappointed he didnt have anything for a 200 when I was shopping.

The camera will need to be relocated if you're carrying a spare tire on the back. Some people relocate them to the spare, some relocate to the underside of the spoiler, etc. Moving the camera is easy but requires splicing wiring and so a plug-and-play solution would rock

IIRC there's not a lot of space behind the bumper for the trailer plug, I think it has to be way out to the side, which is why most people aren't doing it. I hope you can figure out a solution, but honestly I'd rather have the plug far to the side and just get a longer harness on my trailer or an extension than have the plug where it's at.

I personally think DOT-compliant tail lights and reflectors should be required for any aftermarket bumper, particularly if someone is carrying a spare tire which almost certainly blocks part or all of the tail lights. Slee and TT have some which work, though I don't know the wiring effort. What they lack are reflectors though, but that could be remedied easily

I’m curious. What don’t you like about your ARB rear? Feel free to start that in a different thread if you think that is more appropriate.

Mostly it isnt one piece and the wings tend to bend up. I have several times used a jack and crowbar to bend them back down. The eye hooks are on the bottom of the bumper and drag a lot. I do like the tire carrioer other than it doesnt have a place for a high lift

Don't get me wrong, it is a good bumper just some areas that could be improved

having my 40 gallon aux tank put in this week. 66 gallon range now I guess.

Thanks Ken!

Foltz for the win! Congrats on the 2016.

@benc Put me on the list for an aluminum front. 2011. Firm commit. Whatever you come up with I’m good.
