It doesn’t seem like something that can be changed either,
Unfortunately, not with those flush mounts. Ben can send you new plates with the 6” sae light cutouts, and those can be adjusted to point straight.

did you keep track of the number of hours it took you to install?

I did not put a winch in the bumper but I imagine it might be difficult considering that cross bar support for the grill. But since I didn’t have a winch I put my license plate over the winch cable hole by drilling little holes and using sheet metal screws to mount the plate. Not sure where other people put their’s since there isn’t a great place for it. My bumper has the cut out for a light bar. I’ll probably put one in there soon but I didn’t want to drop the coin on a Rigid light bar that it was designed for, so I’ll probably get some cheap one that fits there. (Side note, I really don’t understand the trend these days about adding so many damn lights to trucks, who the f*** goes off-roading at night anyway? Plus the lights on this truck are pretty damn good, my 100 series is a different story.) Anyway, does anyone have a cheap light bar recommendation?

You can safely cut that grill support and not really impact the grill. Most of the support is from the clips on the side. I cut the middle of mine out (2008) and left the two ends where the headlights are mounted to make it easy to reach a winch.

I probably would have gone that route if I knew that detail, but I don't think I care enough to go through all that. I certainly don't care enough to pay any additional cost. I spent the first day doing disassembly, and full bumper install which was 3pm-9pm. The next day I cut and fit the OEM bumper (which I had fully removed btw), wiring up the lights/parking sensors and reassemble the OEM skids and engine bay covers. I think I did that from about 1pm-4-5pm. So in total I guess 10 hours or so. Weather was so nice and I was enjoying the days so I wasn't working super fast. I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what bolts went where. I either got some wrong bolts or I didn't understand where they are supposed to go bc I had to get 3-4 new bolts from the store and I had a few extra at the end.... But it seems all good, as long as there are a bunch of bolts holding everything together tight its fine. I also struggled a little with getting everything aligned (wings/middle/recovery points). I got it really close but I finally just ran a drill bit through 2 holes so the bolt would slide through easier. The whole project was actually easier than I anticipated and I could do it again in much less time. Another comment, I wish I was aware of the radiator skid plate, I think that is something I would have liked to put on and probably will add at some point.

This is a great point, Im sure that could work. Isn't it just amazing how this huge grill and bumper is basically suspended from only a few snap clips and maybe a few screws and small bolts? Its just crazy to me how little it takes to attach such a huge body panel. So yea, I suppose I may be over estimating the importance of that support bar. I just can't help but think that flimsy plastic needs help staying in place.
@TeCKis300 put this thread together:

I'm overriding with my switchpros, but I haven't read through to see if there's a way to do it without a $500 "smart switch" or rigging in an aftermarket switch to bypass the relay.

@i4c4lo found an $80 amazon special! maybe he can post a link (and some pictures of the rig!!)
Well I took one look at that and am already over the idea, to complicated for me... However it is funny how I don't mind installing a whole bumper but think other things are too much trouble,

This is the one I put on my Dissent front bumper.

Have a pic of your setup? I have my front Dissent on order, still have awhile before it's ready. Hoping a Diode Dynamics lightbar will fit in the place of the Rigids but will wait until I get bumper installed to check measurements.

****** tailgate modification specific to LX*******
The stock LX reverse lights flank the license plate with a bulging lense cover. Unfortunately, these lights come into contact with the swing arm striker plates/screws.
Ben can supply blank off plates like @1world1love has, but I was curious about this $150 knock-off (from a 2021 LX) I found on eBay. It took nearly a month to arrive from China, and so far the quality seems decent.
The stock storage trim pops off after you remove 4x 10mm bolts.
2 10mm nuts, the 2 license plate screws, and 7 yellow clips hold the entire license plate assemble to the tailgate.
The new part doesn’t have any weather stripping or rubber seals, so I used some Permatex non-hardening form-a-gasket to seal up all the places the stock one has rubber.

I let the gasket goo dry for about 20 mins and then slapped it on. I didn’t test fit, but fortunately all clips lined up.

the last pics were taken with my full weight sitting on the tailgate, so we’re back in business!

Hopefully the LEDs don’t explode and all will be well....

Wow! Look at that. What a great solution and nice job on the install. Looks oem.

Beautiful write up @radman ! I really wish I would have read the whole thread detailed before my install instead of just skimming quickly through it! lol It probably would have saved me a couple hours. Its good to see you had to bore out the sensor holes. I was thinking to myself, how in the hell is this going to work??? the bulk of the work is complete, I still need to wire up my winch, bullet lights, and rear lights. Also need to remove the center rear plate to install the trailer plug. The cutting and measing of the stock bumper "plastics" was the part I feared the most, but was actually pretty straight forward and easy. I found using a jig saw was easy to control and make a straight cuts. Overall I am really stoked and impressed with the engineering @benc put into his products. I had seen his products in person @ past HIH events, but building them is a whole other level of understanding and appreciation! I cant wait to beat the crap out of this thing in Moab and Colorado in a few weeks.

be careful when putting the back up sensors back in. I got a little aggressive and they don't work now....... don't be like me

!!!!!!!!

Ben suggested not forcing the sensors in if the hole is too tight because that can cause malfunctions or false objects.

I like the color match, we decided to do the same thing but have been worried it would be too much white. Seeing how good yours looks really puts us at ease.

Thanks! I knew I was going out on a limb going white! That's actually just the standard gloss white. In person it's a little stark/ cold compared to pear white of the LC. If I would have prepped better and or been patient, I could have had a better color matched white. The powder coated could have ordered a custom color match but it was going to take 3 weeks or something. I had to wait 6 months to this thing. 3 more weeks wasn't happening. Lol. I don't love it, also don't hate it. It's growing on me.

It looks good and when it’s appropriately covered in dirt you will never be able to tell the slight difference 😉

All said and done I have only a few parts left. The front wing end caps. I'm not
Exactly sure where they go. Hopefully @benc or @radman can chime in. Also where are you guys installing CB fire stick antennas?

those install (at least on mine) on top of the bumper, wing to main section

They mount on top where the front meets the wings. Sort of right where the headlights meet the grill.

interesting. Can anyone try to share a picture when they have a chance?
