Through the coarse of developing this kit we have had this set of goals in mind-

-Eliminate the chance of the customer ending up with a never-ending project.

-Engineer with long-term maintenance and parts availability in mind.

-Eliminate the unknowns and guesswork.

The irony of the second statement.

My parts were shipped yesterday...Happy Birthday to me.

Getting a few more problems taken care of, nothing thrilling, but nessecary.

Replaced the drivers side motor and regulator. Also removed the outer molding and shaved down the monstaliner so the moulding would not grip the window so tight...it had yanked the glass out of the track.

Today my 5 week old son got to experience his first of many knuckle rebuilds. About a week ago I noticed the inside of my passenger wheel was really wet so figured the inner axle seal had gone....it had, most likely due to a little scoring on the inner axle. I have been thinking about getting a set of longs or chromoly's, this may just speed that up.

Was your window slow or broke? That's on my list. Mine works great until it's rainy and then it needs help.

It started out slow, so I replaced all the window runs and belt mouldings with new from akella. I did that at the same time I monstalined the truck. With the new window runs and the extra thickness of the ML, the windows were even slower. At the beginning of the winter the drivers side window got yanked out of the regulator track. I raised the window and left it there till now as it was too cold to work on the truck outside here In the NE.

The window works great now...annoying thing is I now have to pull the other 3 doors apart to shave the ML down.

Nevermind...I remember what I saw before AWE.Com got shutdown. I will be taking one of those decals.
Are you bringing your OBA setup to market?

Package from DA arrived today, need to check my inventory spreadsheet tomorrow...but looks like everything has arrived, except for harness which will cOME later after I send my core.

New respined NV4500 mainshaft (2wd version).
New 5th gear and nut kit.
Adapter plate and hardware to mate NV4500 to HF2AV.
New cummins 24V harmonic balancer machined to have 3 equally spaced nodules for the tach sensor to read.
Throttle linkage assembly.
Thin stainless straw (I think this is for the gas tank).

Move faster........can't wait.
Now that I have all my conversion parts I feel comfortable sending my motor out for a full rebuild. I will also be rebuilding the NV4500 with the new mainshaft myself.

I am going to GSMTR, so I am not going to pull the 1FZ-FE until after that trip.

Regarding the 1FZ-FE...I am torn on what to do with it. Do I let it go to another MUD member or do I rebuild it and keep it for a rainy day? I have every intention of making my next build a 1HZ-T + H55 + split case 60/62...so it maybe a fair while, or never before I find a new home for the 1FZ-FE.

Housing looks correct except I don't have the bottom piece bolted to the bracket. What is that for?

Please document the nv4500 re build. I will be doing that soon also. I have the same predicament for my 1fzfe. I currently own a higher mileage rusty locked 80 that I may cut up tube out for my bounce off the rocks rig.

I saw your build thread in the 60 section. That should be sweet. I have a 60 waiting for some love too.

That bottom piece is the bracket for the dodge tensioner...I think. I only have it finger tight in this picture, it appears that it is a press fit, which I will do after I get the thermostat housing base mounted to the block.

I will certainly document the rebuild of the NV4500. I recently picked up the Quad4x4 NV4500 rebuild manual and DVD. It is rather comprehensive, looks like it shouldn't be too difficult of a job.
