Dakota Digital Custom Cluster (3 Viewers)

I've been working with Dakota Digital on a custom cluster for my 80.

It will be based on their HDX system.

I think it looks great and close to O.E.

The backlights can be changed to any combination you like with their software.

The two TFT screens can display digital data, like outside temp and compass.

This is the layout. I'm building a diesel 80, so the RPM is set to match the factory RPM.

I've added lights for fuel filter/air cleaner/ subtank

The warning lights are not symmetrical, there will be a new revision to fix this.

If you're not familiar with their clusters, they are fantastic for engine swaps! Makes integration really really easy.

Do you think DD should offer this for 80s? Not cheap by any means.

This is the rendering. I can't wait to see the real cluster when it's complete!

I had to look this up on their website. It sure looks like you can using their extension modules.

Made a few changes to the bottom indicators.

It looks like it will go in production in April 2022! I'll update once I receive the cluster or real images of it.

Would also be cool to add some additional indicator lights to the bottom if there was space. Like a “Aux light” or “air compressor” that could be tied into such circuits. Maybe even a dual battery charging indicator or status?

I hope you know the vendor, because if not, that was unnecessary. There are a limited number of companies that supply quality aftermarket options for our vehicles. Let's try not to piss them off.

Why not just go with a full digital dash? Last I checked it was about 2k dollars to do so.

It would look closer to stock. digital gauges don't age well.

Just looking at some of their existing kits they can be ordered in MPH or KMH. So if this does actually hit larger production like the rest of their models then I would think the same would be available.

Looks get, just not sure I would go that route with a factory setup given the price tag.
