Yes, plus we saw some military exercises going on... Well mine and Matt's group did, we actually went to Mt Mitchell. We are gonna call this the Balsam to Asheville ride next year...

i'm pretty sure there is never is 24hrs wiithout some sort of gail force wind on that mountain.
I told my wife i want cot tents for christmas.
Everytime i camp on the beach or on an exposed part of a mountain like that i'm blasted by 20+ mph winds constantly.
Really wish i could have made this one. I had a blast up there back in Sept.
