I am getting off early tomorrow and we will drop kids off in Sunset and head on through Rosman, NC. Hope to make it to Black Balsam by 5:30, if all goes as planned.

Hey I'll be watching your Tigers loose as well as SC all while sitting in the middle of the campground drinking beer. Then I plan to go loose my voice watching Tony Stewart win the race and most likely at some point pee in my pants because I'm too drunk to make it to the bathroom.

Lowest turnout ever for a parkway ride... Only 2 of the 6 trucks that showed actually made it to Mt. Mitchell. Had a good time with those that came out anyway... Lots of good foliage, and a blue sky day
After all the grief we gave jay and only him, his wife and my crew made it to Mitchell. We headed up to Crabtree Falls for the night. On our way back now, finally have service so I could use the mud app

Sorry to bail on you guys. Had a great day in the mountians though.
Just about stayed up on the parkway with you guys for a bit but cruised into town and got a couple messages and one was about my new ride being ready
two wheels that is but still good to get a
couple errands knocked out in one trip.
only took a pic or two and was beat from the lack of sleep that night; seems the weather report was just a bit off and we had gail force winds so noone was disappointed with their black balsam experience.

'07 was the first year that I came, that must have been the year before. Only reason I remember is b/c it was when I bought my FJC and the wife and I brought it up. I sold it in the spring so it couldn't have been '08 and I didn't go in '08... had to work...
