In order for the electronics to work properly and be able to have all the functionality we want the VB needs to be swapped to a tiptronic unit - the a750 out of the 100 series is not which is the reason for the swap.

Good video of Shauno from 4wd 24/7 and Rodney from WAT discussing valve bodies and the Compushift controller + their capabilities. Shawno runs the exact same unit that we are using and that truck gets used hard!

I was already considering getting a nomad for my 96, but now I’m convinced I need a five speed now. I think I may have to start selling schedule one drugs to support my LC addiction.

Im facing a tc rebuild and considered the nomad for my a442f, but this is much more interesting solution.

Any issues behind the 1hdt? Mine is a 94, so ill be waiting..

Wholesale has had the A750 figured out behind 1HDT/FT's for many years now. They require an FTE A750 Bellhousing and the correct torque convertor.

I may have bought the last one available, my local dealer parts guys and I are on a first name basis for our Toyota fleet. Not a good thing but it has its perks. They didn’t charge me a core and said I can bring a core when I have one available. It was $2,645.66 out the door.
