It's replacing the one I stole from my dad:

Tech coming soon to please the moderators....

I spent this morning putting the Cruiser to work, hauling more than a thousand pounds of food for National Harvest food bank with the Boy Scouts.
The rear springs were only sagging a little bit, it was worse when we towed the car lift...

Then a much needed and deserved bath and interior vacuum in the afternoon

I also got a Cobra 148gtl and a Firestik ll, I didn't anticipate how big the radio actually is. Anyone with a CB of this size have any ideas for mounting?

Alright, the only feasible option I found for the Cobra was in place of the cup holders on the stock center console. The clips that hold them in are defiantly strong enough for the radio, and I put some tape on to eliminate rattle

I'll upload a photo of the FireStik tomorrow when it's bright out

I didn't feel like drilling a bigger hole in the roof and real picking the wires that were there...

good looking cruiser, nice job keeping it in the family..i see your in orange county you should try and make it up to hardrock cycle park in ocala sometime they have some pretty fun wheeling...also check out the clubhouse tab at the top of the forums and check out the florida land cruiser association link...lots of local guys on there bring that out to a meet...

good luck

Thanks, I'm planning to go in December maybe... Are you local as well?

EDIT: whoops Riverview

Running inside outside wires is always fun!
You can use hollow bolts and replace a hinge bolt or something.
Then you just run the positive wire through the bolt, pump the bolt with silaflex and loop the positives to the other lights then just use a rack bolt to negative return.

There is site that sells the bolt with a terminated sealed cable already in it but I'll be stuffed if I can find it now.

Ehh it's long-term temporary if you know what I mean. When I do a real rust repair/restore on the roof (unlike the load of bondo and paint from a year and a half ago) I'll pull the wires and do it right, maybe run them trough the inside of the A-pillar unlike how they are now, although it is slick:

hah yea riverview, just south of tampa...the florida group just had our annual turkey trot...had a pretty good turn out, there are some pictures of the meet on the forum and i need to post up some too...great group of people to go out with everyone super knowledgable.

Yeah I'm ready to go wheeling soon, just need a free weekend, and low traffic... I'm more worried about breaking something on the highway than the trails haha!

I spy a Valle Crucis front plate! I have a place up there, beautiful area.

My family had a house there for a short time as an investment, I love North Carolina, WAY better than Florida

I want it in chrome, although that might not be cheap.... Looks like an aftermarket future. But my real main priority is getting rid of all the oil leaks and getting the brakes a little tighter. Plans are a rebuilt 3FE, highly possible H42 swap. When I get around to it, a T100 Brake MC to go with the current TLC calipers, and I want to eliminate those backing plates.
