I dig the radio. When our cruisers are more equipped than a 2012 Camry it's kinda funny :D

The fuzzy patch under the keys is key. No pun intended! Haha

That's kinda shady of that dealer. Are they still in business? I'd have bought it either way though. Love me some "Old School Toyota" That's a song btw. Look it up on YouTube.

January 2013 Drivers license acquired. Literally 3 minutes later, this happens:

My damage incredibly minimal, just a slight bend in the cheap bumper and a 1x1 inch square of paint taken off. The Mazda had to be towed, might it have been worse for him if I had my original bumpers? No fault found by either party, his insurance paid (I presume)

I found some rustoleum that matches my paint perfectly, so I did that spot then went nuts and touched up every spot we botched on the paint job, mostly primer overspray in the door jambs

It doesn't look that good in this picture, but I sanded it down and redid it, it looks great for spot that no one will ever notice

Paint looks good to me! Nice repair on that

Once it's in the sun for a few weeks its lose its extra gloss and match the rest perfectly

How did you go about getting your interior? did you use a "local guy"? or did you find a mold to work from?

I'm planning on doing my carpet soon, got a new dash pad coming : )

Thanks, and nice story man. Keep writing it!

This is the carpet we used: (http://www.sor.com/cat343c.sor)

Pricey, but really good quality

My seat covers are Spector "Pit Bull", the're 10 years old, and I doubt they still make them, but they are very good

EDIT: It looks like they still make them, but with a different name: http://www.sor.com/cat309e.sor

Beautiful truck and great story. I'd disagree with the post about them being just another truck. I'd never heard of fj60s until I was a teenager. And I still became obsessed. The lines, the capability - these things rock.
