Steve still has the seat brackets that were modified. You could grab them from him.

The choke wasn't working properly so I pulled it out to see what was going on. It had broke. So I took an old vent pull and cut th ends off and welded it to the choke pull. Re-installed the crimp sleeve and the cable sleeve and hooked it back up. Works great now. Nice and smooth. Didn't get anymore pics.

Got the truck aligned today. I had the toe within spec and camber was really close. Caster was out about 1.5*- 2*.
Question for anyone to answer. 2* shims will get it to factory spec, but the guy at the shop said I could go as much as 4* and it would handle a bit better. Is this true? Don't know much about the subject.

Spec is only 1*. I usually shoot for 3 to 5 degrees. My street 40 with scout ps, 4" lift is around 1* and it drives nice. i think a couple of more degrees can give me slightly better handling, but mainly I want quicker steering wheel centering after a turn.
As noted in the post following your question, factory spec is 1 degree of camber. Higher will cause the truck to track straighter at higher speed at the expense of more steering effort. That said, with power steering, the increased effort is moot.
TLDR - as long as you have power steering, shoot for 2-3 degrees of camber. Solid advice from the guy at the shop.

Blending the '78 harness to the turn signals on the '70 dash. Also installed the horn button from the '70 to the '78 wheel.

Got the 4* caster shims in and took it down the road. Tracks nice and straight now. What a difference. Steering is nice and tight. Some 3/8" foil backed heat and sound damper rolls are coming today. Going to make some floor covering to go under some rubber mats I have to make as well. Need to cut down on the road noise.

A few weeks ago, I grabbed a full hardtop from a friend of mine. He went with a Kayline and didn't need the HT any longer. It was unseasonably warm here in VA today so I got it on the truck and painted it. Then, of course, I scratched it up some. Also installed the OEM floor mat a got from @cppilot. Fits like a glove
Looks like it’s been sitting on that tub for 40yrs..

Thanks. I like being able to paint stuff and not be precise. I will hit it with a DA and some heavy compound to pull some of the paint off and expose the primer this weekend, maybe.Looks like it’s been sitting on that tub for 40yrs..
Your patina matching skills are impeccable! What was the original color of the hard top before you sprayed it?

Thanks, man. It was dune beige. Sanded it down and hit it with red oxide primer.
Truck looks amazing. Lots of inspiration for my 40 build.

Maybe I missed it, but is this thing lifted? If so, how much? I really dig the wheel/tires combo. It has a great stance. Yours could be a twin to my 69 FST. Great build!

Started my tire carrier yesterday and got a little more time on it this morning. Gotta go look at a house with the son and DIL now bit may be able to get some more done before Tay Tay's team plays tonight. Got another spindle coming for the other side. Got the 4plus brackets from @phishtaco last year. Finally putting them to good use.

Finished the tire carrier. I don't think it will fall off. It's nice and tight and rattle free.... for now. Not sure what I'm going to go with on the other side. Any suggestions??
Don't know if I'm going to paint it or just let it get some surface rust. Also have to add my bottle opener that I've had for going on 12 yrs now. It has been on a couple of my Cruisers throughout the years.
