There is a company out of UT that builds d-shafts out of 2" Dom

My mistake. I was under the impression you were working on a plug and play option for the 6BT, and you sent out a few kits already to people you trust to have the issues worked out before going public.

Yeah, we aren't involved in this at all. Just watching like the rest of you!

So, are you guys using this kit? @Duiser Offroad Or is Cnorm the first one to ACTUALLY install this kit from Dustin?

The only thing I recognize is the throttle bracket, the Lexus had it and it was brand new at the time. Worked well for us. I can't speak for Dustin and I actually haven't spoken to Dustin for some time but, my understanding is he sold several of these kits as the first batch.

As for our conversions? For the time being we are only doing manual NV4500 builds.

Manual is the way to go.

Nah auto is.. One hand for the wheel and one on my beer... I don't like the 10 speed mountain bike feeling :) though love a manual in a sports car

Well ends up I put the drive shafts in backwards... Doh.
Spin it around and it has plenty of clearance. Made a backed and move the throttle linkage closer to the pump. Eliminates an extra spring and linkage that's not needed. Plus I now can for sure can get full rpm out of the Cummins. Wasn't quite there before.

The TPS is working now. Talked with Dustin about it and he knew exactly what he did wrong. Had to switch two wires on the TPS. Shifts way better now. Still a little tuning needed.

I "broke" the headlight mounts pushing the motor in so I got some new lights off flea bay. Came with HID's. Have not played at night but they at least look BA compared to the old ones.

I don't think @Mr Cimarron does much shifting.....start in 2nd => get to 4th, stay in 4th, 5th only if necessary. Its not a gasser.

If I have some fast food to eat I can get into 5th by 35mph if needed and it has plenty of torque to get up to speed.

I know 1st is granny and 5th is od. Personally I just don't like manual trans for wheeling anymore. But you do get better mileage and it's often fun banging through the gears :)

Well take that dang extra muffler you have a turbo for that ;)

Well took her for a longer drive today. Probably about 6 hrs of putting around the valley on logging roads and such. Did great! Finally realized after driving around all week that last weekend when the TPS wasn't working I messed with a couple settings in the compushift and had the TPS signal reversed. Got that normal and it runs just like it should.

Couple pics from around hungry horse resivore.

After the run I pulled it in the garage and looked around. Looks like the front drive line hits the exhaust and still will hit the bell housing. :(
And one of my trans cooler hoses between the hardlines is cracked.

But over all a successful day in my book!

Get a Tallon driveshaft out of UT. They make a 2" diameter driveshaft
