Builds Cnorm5623's Cummins build

OK so I got the throttle linkage mounted. It uses the linkage off the stock intake, so the peddle, cruise, and trans kickdown hook up like they would on the stock motor. Then the block has the new cable that goes to the Cummins. Pretty freaking ingenious if you ask me!

Got the power steering, fuel lines, and break booster line hooked up.

The power steering hose in the kit hooks up to the Cummins pump, then goes to the stock pressure hose using the banjo bolt. Not a huge fan of that, wish it could have went right from the pump to the steering box to keep it cleaner but oh well.

Also got the radiator and A/C coils in. Had to order an aftermarket trans cooler because the stock one won't fit with the intercooler. But they are pretty cheap.

Got the electric fans and controller hooked up too.

Looking good. Coming along nicely now that you have some parts.

OK missed a couple days work but ........

SHE IS ALIVE!!!!!

Got the intercooler piping in and a new trans cooler. Got them installed.
Did a little wiring and built a temporary staring pipe to the ground for the exhaust and turned the key..... No start?! The starter that Dustin recommended didn't engage the flywheel..... Doh. Lucky enough the starter that came with the engine kinda still works... Had to bump the key a bunch to get the contacts to work... But it started! I need to bleed the breaks again before I drive it any.

Well the trans controller is not set up right, well it looks like the TPS is not working :( shifted 1st through 4th in about 50', and top speed is 40 mph.. But she's rolling! Then I was trying to adjust the slack out of the throttle cables and inside Dustin's litlle assembly there is some gears. Those gears skipped and now I am trying to get them realigned.... PITA!!!!!

Tried to get ahold of Dustin today but since its the weekend I don't blame him for not answering. Guess I will have to wait till Monday.

I just want to thank you for working out the kinks that won't be in the finished kit Dustin offers in a year or two.

I'm ready to pull the trigger when the FULL kit is in stock, ready to ship, and maybe even comes with a warranty.

That, and 5kUSD for it is a bit steep. I'm curious as to what that gets me - seems like it pays primarily for the R&D that went into it rather than the parts!

such a cool build.. another fifty bucks and i bet you're golden. ;) damncooltruck

Why are there any kinks? Is this not the same kit Jonesys has been R&Ding for the past few years? I don't get why it doesn't just bolt right up and work perfectly. Being that the kit is so expensive, you'd think this was the case.

Ok so after playing with throttle and kickdown linkage and getting the adjusted closer i got it running better. TPS is still not working so shifting is a bit rough but i had it up to 70!

I thought it was running good enough to take the FAM into town for lunch. Start to go down the road and I am getting a bit of a vibration. Slow down and it gets worse..... I thought maybe with new lift the front u joints took a dump.... We it was the front drive line but not the u joints.

Its rubbing on the bell housing. I can't imagine how bad this would have been without the lift. Anyone seen this before? Or have any ideas how to correct it? I took the drive line out for now and just locked the t case but I will need some sort of solution.

We had little, if nothing to do with the contents of this kit. So much has changed since the Predator and even the Lexus, this is new to us as well.

My mistake. I was under the impression you were working on a plug and play option for the 6BT, and you sent out a few kits already to people you trust to have the issues worked out before going public.
