I'm still planning to be there. But will need a crash pad, is there a motel close that will have cruiser pick up service? :grinpimp: Hopefully it won't be hot enough for paper to self ignite.

You might want to try a place on Hwy 11 called "A nice little motel" or something like that. It has only a handful of rooms but is pretty close to Alan's. # is 864-878-9949.

I plan on meeting you guys Sat morning at anut sues (gotta work friday night ) only thing I need done at the moment is to install some caster correction bushing in Mary E's 80; besides that I can supply manual labor or just drink beer and talk :grinpimp:

Got the video from Richmond Gear today on how to set up a differential. Watched it already. Very cool and very well done. Will be good to watch it Sat night.

Also remember I have 160 dollars worth of SOR gift cards to give away.

lube

Just occured to me that I need to bring gear oil and grease for axle rebuild. :wrench: Anybody have a clue :meh: as to how much?? 90w gear oil correct?

Three of the tall slender containers. Really only need about 2.5.

Weather for this weekend is looking awesome. High Sat is 79 and the lows in the low 60's. Perfect weather to camp and wrench in.

well i have to play it by ear. the 80 is the DD now and having issues at that so if i can make it, it will be to watch, camp, and drink your beer :D Can i still come in a camry? it is a toyota? Best case scenario would be getting my gas tank in by friday afternoon, so possibly getting up there after your lunch and just working on the parking brake, and watching to do the rear axle coming up soon.

Oh and if your bored (and somewhat sober) theres a piggy third member in pieces that could be assembled :)

Come when and if you can. WIll have a beer on ice for ya. Anyone who wants to come stop by and just hang out is more than welcome. I'll be camping both nights there. You don't have to fix anything. There might even be a little scouting involved.

Looking forward to sitting around a fire and talking cruisers up in the mountains.

I will be there sometime Saturday. Don't really need an axle rebuild, but I have the kit. Do need to drink some beer . . . it's been a tough couple of weeks. May camp out Saturday night.

bed

Nice little motel is full, wedding...and next weekend too.
checking laurel mtn. 5 miles from Alans. or would it be easier to get ride from Hampon Inn in TR. Or can camp in back of cruiser if some kind of shower is available there?? Suggestions?:meh:

I like the sound of that!

We have a honey hole we need to scout out before Capt Jim gets here in a few weeks. I'd like to make sure it still has access. It's an xxxx chock full of anything from easy stuff to stuff I don't even think the Florida Boys would touch.

Amazing thing is it's right in Captains back yard.
