Thats no worries! I just appreciate that you are doing these podcast!

@Roastchestnuts back when we lived in Vermont, there was a guy named Fred Picker. Ran into him on occasion …he used that Zone VI system he’d created and his company sold a load of B&W processing accessories. I sold my 1970 Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty Custom to buy his special lighting equipment for my Bessler 23C. The 23C sold for $350 when I sold it….the Les Paul sells for $15,000 +.

Need to clarify a couple points: Fred Picker owned the company Zone VI which did popularize the Zone System for use in darkroom printing. However it was Ansel Adams who actually created the Zone System with Fred Archer years earlier and was used during the entire photographic process.

I have been given and given away more darkroom stuff than I can remember…

Back in 2007 I had a leica m6ttl film camera that I sold for 850$ it had the box and it was in excelent shape. I bought a canon eos 1ds mkII and some lenses. That same leica camera sells now for 3500. The canon can be had for only 200$. I have made those decisions before haha.

Real estate in Austin the last 20 years…
Many boats missed.

I know some pic people and they do awesome work. I did some B&W printing back in the 70's it was fun.

I bought a Leica 35mm with 3 lenses for a dollar. Shot a roll of film with it - they came out fine. I think the speed is off, like the spring is weak from being cocked for 50 years.

I did too; used to really enjoy it. Starting about 1975, I really got into shooting slide film for the remainder of my SLR days, and the darkroom went by the wayside.

On this week's episode of the Classic Land Cruisers podcast....

Just in time for the New Year I speak with @Bogan John Watson about his love of Australian and Japanese spec'd Land Cruisers and he raises the age old question of the ship of Theseus, that if you replace every part of a rig is it still the same rig. As we talk about his personal Australian 70 series

After some scheduling chaos needed to bring you guys something so this week just by myself giving you updates on what's happening with me and most importantly with Uma.

So I am going to be at SAS 10 so I am going to be doing stories around the camp fire every night, trail stories from that day and hopefully getting to know new guests during that time.

This week on the Classic Land Cruisers Podcast....

@roaminglost joins me to talk about how his built HDJ81 gets him to the places that he needs to get the shot of the picture or video for work. And how sometimes all you need to get things right is man's best friend and windshield time.

To get ready for SAS 10 @POTATO LAUNCHER wanted me to submit a logo for the sponsorship and I love the 60 series logo but it was too busy and too many colors so I came up with this secondary logo.

Outstanding!
I actually really like it even though it came from chat GPT. I think I might like it the most of the logos that I have had. It is from the old Toyota Land Cruiser bib emblem but I had chatgpt change the Toyota to Classic and add the s at the end and a old time microphone to make it complete
