Is it possible for a 40 series to be buried underground, dug up, sit in the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum and come back to life? The answer is yes, because that is exactly what @Hayden70FJ40 did. This week he shares his life long family connection with not just his 1970 Fj40 but his pick-up, 60, 80, and, Bj74.

For right now my phone is having a hard time uploading the pictures that he sent to me but after work I will try again probably from my laptop

This week on the Classic Land Cruisers Podcast
I speak with Steven O'Neill to talk about how his Land Cruiser addiction started and how it is more important to find ways to enjoy the journey than to be bothered by things like the efficiency of these old Land Cruisers.

I have done an interview for this weeks podcast with a New Zealander and due to some technical difficulties with trying to talk to each other a world apart literally his audio never came through and I am trying to get it re-sorted out but I might need a guest for this week. I know it is short notice. I have other guests lined up for the next month and a half but this week crapped out on me. Would there be any one willing to come on in short notice

On this week's episode of the Classic Land Cruisers Podcast.
I speak with Zach Johnson of Rocket City Cruisers about how a regular build day blossomed into working on Land Cruisers every day after having a corporate job.

I’m looking forward to this one! Thank you for having people from all over on. I enjoy the guys from my side of the country. I enjoyed the Miss guy last week as well. I need to look for pictures of his 550 he was taking out west. Sounded awesome

what are some more questions that I can add to my quiver so that I am not asking the same questions every week. Now there are some questions that I will continue to ask just because I love the responses that I get?

Also since there was a good response to "Classic Land Cruisers" the calendar I am bringing it back this year (although probably not with the nod to Space Balls). I am going to get it ready to be able to have some as raffle items at SAS 10. The thing is that I already have almost 20 pictures and I only need 14 or so. One for the front cover, and 13 for the months, Hey mtn biker there are only 12 months in a year why are you doing 13 months, go make sure you took your ADHD meds today. Well the reason for that is in the printing process to print a 12 months calendar there is a blank page so that is why a lot of calendars are 13 months calendars. So I am going to need your help as to which ones I should include. I just haven't figured out how to do that just yet

This week on THE podcast. at least the only one that truly matters to classic cruiser heads ;). Any way this week I speak with Jake Robles about how a chance encounter with an Fj40 at a Jurassic Park display ignited a desire to have a FJ40. which led to him getting a donor one making one from 2. Now he uses it to cruise Southern California with a soft top.

Something I find myself talking to other Toyota owners in the real world is mileage on our vehicles. That might be an interesting question for guests.

I had a retired neighbor years ago with 350k+ hard miles on a fj cruiser. He would drive around town all day never highway miles cheifing down cigs while sitting in the driver seat with the motor idealing chatting to construction crews. He sold it when the mileage got above 350k bc of the mentality it was high mileage. He got a new buick suv that broke down before hitting 20k miles.

Or my dad’s first gx 460 had somewhere between 210-220k miles before he traded it in towards a new one. He treated it like a pickup truck. Zero maintenance except irregular oil changes every 12-20k miles, tires, brake pads and I think only issue during ownership was a stuck caliper after getting new pads which could have been the shops fault.

My suggestion for a question:
“What would be your ultimate classic year landcruiser setup?”
An ‘86 Fj60 with an Ls3 and auto? A FST all original Fj40 with a stock F motor? A 1978 iron pig with a Mosley cop motor 2F? Etc, etc.
I do have that one in my quiver and I should ask it more often, but a lot of times I get the one that I am in.

Yeah that is a good one, I could tell people that my odometer says only 5,700 and still be technically correct. I broke about 3 speedo cables and it didn't work when I got it. It has been 5700 since i put in the GPS speedo

On this week's episode of the Classic Land Cruisers Podcast @POTATO LAUNCHER rejoins me to quell my concerns and let me know what to expect in my first experience at the Solid Axle Summit for their 10th anniversary.

So there is now another t-shirt available from @jamesurq that has the new logo on it. hopefully more options coming. But for now 2 different stylized options.

On this week's episode I continue to get excited about @solidaxlesummit_ 10. This time I have @80Lady

and @BombCity on to talk about CruiseHer that is a sub-event during SAS10. CruiseHer is a female driver's only run where these ladies get the chance to be the driver for the day and tell the guys to either become the passenger princess or stay back at camp while they get dirty and dusty on the trails..

On this week's episode of the Classic Land Cruisers Podcast......

I speak with @Mike Shull shull about how he brought the Fj40 that his dad couldn't give away and didn't want to have it go to the scrap yard back from the dead to be an overbuilt purpose cruiser. We also talk about his line of hand drawn cruiser apparel and swag.
