I hope this one works out but it looks really promising. HGSI "The sensor connection " for an egt probe and display. I wanted a nice factory looking display to avoid the gauge pod look. Auto Meter is awesome but round displays are all I could find, and pricey. These guys are in Michigan (greatest state in the union imo) and do industrial stuff mainly. I think I went way too long on the probe so I might be getting another one, my mistake.
Total cost $136.78 which is awesome.

My plan is to take the 4wd blank on the 60 and turn it sideways to mount the guage. Will take some fiddling but time is on my side o_O. Anyway I am pretty stoked on this one and I will keep the results posted, good or bad.

I added in a thermocouple connector on mine to make a pigtail and take out some length. I haven’t tested it yet to make sure I got the connector right.

Since the truck already had a snorkle, and more importantly a snorkle hole in the fender I am staying with it. A Donaldson top should look good on there and maybe help with preventing dirt coming in.

Don't forget to paint the tie rods! I don't wanna see them rust with such a clean truck.
It might not last all that long but I hosed them with Brake Kleen and sprayed them with clear from a rattle can.

I do appreciate the suggestion though, there will be things I do miss!

A few things done this eve. I got the power steering lines pretty much in. @bdyer12 , gave me the whole setup he made for this engine in his 60 so it made it pretty easy.

And one new headlight assembly together. New bits from mr T make it looks so nice I hate to cover it up!

Here's the old.

Looks amazing Pat! Are those the non sealed h4 lights?
They are the same kit you have in your stash room ;) .

I guess they are sealed, they have that rubber cover on the back.

I want to say it was either @NookShneer , or maybe @HemiAlex , I stole that kit idea from? Then I saw you had the same thing Roma.

Excited to try em

All that is still available? Looks really nice!
Yes, not necessarily the correct parts. I cant remember which pieces I substituted but they fit perfect. I found all that on partsouq. Amazingly inexpensive too.

Here's the light kit. I retails for around $50 so the discount dealers in the US will put it around $35.
It is way cheaper overseas but the shipping is high.

Smokin deal for the 2 lights and the relay harness

I bought two of them, and they work great. The cut off pattern is sharp and they are very well built!

What is the harness portion? Is it factory replacement wiring or is it like the Arb relay kit?

It’s a relay harness without the plastic sheathing of an arb style. Works just the same.

I forgot to post the other day, a big move for Chunk. As much as I would like to keep moving on the project I have to switch up for various reasons. Lots of not so nice life changes happening but everything has a silver lining so if it just delays the finish, I can roll with that.

Add too those things the fact that I have committed to attending the Southern Swine Soiree 2019 in October with my 55, means the 60 has to vacate the hoist.

Upside is the first "drive" of nearly 12 feet.

From there I idled Chunk down to the garage (no throttle cable yet). Felt great, can't wait for a real ride.

The 55 claims the spot for now

Congrats! Love the sound of a 12HT!
Thanks man. I get goosebumps every time it starts up. It is a lot like a Cummins where you can hardly let go of the key fast enough.

And that sweet smell, love it.
