LOL!!!!:lol::lol::lol:
Pretty rad kit, hu!?!?!
The issue is the elbow off the intake. Ive got FIVE and ONE QUARTER IN. from the front of the throttle body to the front of the rad. shroud. That elbos took up about 1.5 in more than that. Off there, that would have been ideal from that point, but...NO GO!

What if you come off the TB with the 60 degree elbow pointing up, then a 90 going sideways? Git 'r done.

Today, I returned the last intake kit and picked up a new steering wheel...a little bigger in diameter and one that had a definitive horn mechanism and retainer...5 min...DONE horn works beautifully now and I LIKE the new wheel better. Sucks that I had to waste 40 bucks on the first wheel to get here, but...whattya do??? Not the first time and sure wont be the last.
Picked up the flashers...those are some expensive little bastards too...:crybaby:
Didnt get to putting those in yet as they need a ground connection.
Picked up some LED front turn lamps too that were pretty cool and low profile.
Biggest thing I did this eve. was get the 4 low switch mounted and finalized the triple stick shifters. Still not sure about that...I still almost think a switch on the dash would be better, but Ill run it and see how it is. Not that its NOT gonna work, but...Im just concerned with it coming out of adjustment and I really have no way to get to it except through the trans tunnel...
At least I was able to accomplish something today!:bounce::bounce2:

First pic is in DRIVE position on the switch (depressed), next is obviously 4 low and the last pic is of the new wheel. I wanna wire an indicator into the dash for this switch as well, so that I KNOW its working and making appropriate contact.

Nice wheel

HAHAHA...Thanks man. More than I wanted to pay, but I DO like it much better and the horn cap wont be falling out on me when Im driving the washboards down in death valley. Somethings are just WORTH the extra money in the end. I wish I would learn that sometime.

No I really love it...that's my favorite model grant ... Just too spendy me ;)

This is a 4" cobra head. They are huge!

It damn near my only hope at this point. Based on the dimensions given, it should fit nicely. Well see.

Btw.... You are kinda "dainty" aren't you?!?!:)

Lol... I was just uh.. showing uh.. how the air flow travels.

I'm certainly not the strapping young lad you are. Your arm probably wouldn't even fit in there.

Also.... Got my blinkers and brake lights working flawless. Turned out to be the brake light switch. Surprisingly, napa actually had the switch in stock. Picked one up, plopped it in brake lights on. NICE! Rustydan came over too and got some more of the gauges done. Need to get him another heat gun as his took a dump. Would love to get this wiring done this weekend!!!

About an hour or so and the instrument cluster will be finished off and tested as far as we can without a running engine.
I'm hoping I can get over there for a while this weekend and finish it off.

I'd like to cal Howell next week and check with them on running a LED in parallel with the low range pin on the ECU.

You can use a double relais, one circuit for the ECU and one for the check light. That way you are shure the ECU gets a clean signal.

Dan,
Its really not that big of a deal. It's just kind of an OCD thing I have on that switch. It's funny how both of you ( you and Michael) can understand that this switch needs to have "clean" connection. Crap is way over my head.
I'll be good with w/ the 4wd indicator.

Got the cobra elbow...Boots was right...that is a HONKIN piece. Got a tentative air intake in place...need to find a way to secure it and keep it from vibrating around though.:hhmm:
Got the blinkers installed and the wires routed and loomed up.
Finished the wiring for the tank and trans cooler and got those grounded and loomed. Did some over all tidying up of some of the loom. Only a few more details and the wirng will be done.
