Depending if Rusty screwed up the wiring on it or not. What a hack..

:flipoff2:

I have a second or third week of July run planned for the con. Geterdone and lets wheel :D

Soooooo down!!! Can't effin wait to do that trail again.

Actually, I turned the key this am, and it still was getting a no read????
I'll look at it the next time I get over there, I wouldn't hard mount that panel until we ring out all the gauges. For one thing the tach and speedo still need calibration.

No smoke?:hhmm:

Nope, and there's no battery drain either when off. Rusty did good!

I spent the last two days reading the entire thread. Awesome work! I am interested in about every aspect of the build, thanks for posting up all the details!\\

Oh man!!! That is a loonnnng read for ya.
Thanks for the props and I hope it helps you somehow.

Slow going right now. Chasing down and figuring out little details. There was question as wether or not there was power getting to the gauges. This was discovered when we tried to get a 4wd indicator switch working. Well, I tracked it and found that the FUGGIN fuse was blown. I'll have to keep an eye on that.
Aside from that... Spending a ton of time driving around getting little bull s*** fittings for various details for finish. Crap for the heater lines, the fuel vent line etc. This stuff has BLOWN any time for completion for me, so Fu$k it. I'm just gonna take my time time, NOT be hasty and do what needs to be done so I am ready to run next season without question. Kind of a bitter sweet blessing actually.

I think that will be the best thing in the long run. Sorry about losing another wheeling season, but you can make up for it next year when you have all the time in the world. You won't know what to do with all those free weekends.:p

you will be glad you did later... i've had the opposite blessing too many times fixing stuff later...

I'm in the same boat, but it's a mixed blessing. I haven't touched my rig in over a month since I've got no pressing schedule. It's fun to drive around town. I have to admit that it's fun to mountain bike again too. I've been skipping that in favor of wrenching for the whole year otherwise.

I need to tear into my 2f or more easily just swap it out. It would be a good time to swap it out with something else though. The decision is what's got me blocked. It runs good enough for S&T as long as I tow it down there.

Just know that some little piddly s*** is gonna plague you right off the bat anyway :D

Yeup. Its kinda what I was gettin at. I'm still super close to this bitch runnin, but this winter will be the time to get the bugs worked out. Make the speaker boxes and get the radio set up ( as opposed to running without for a while like I was planning), soft top, door finished and done, finish the half doors and get em painted... That stuff that I was gonna bag for a while to enjoy it a bit.

So the build continues for a while.:grinpimp:
Gotta love that from a sideline point of view.
I can imagine some dissappointment from you but it's going to be even better and more fun when it is really done.

Yeah. Whaddya do??? I'm too OCD to leave things go, and.... Well, not to "toot my own horn", but I think this has turned into a really nice rig and deserves the extra time to make it all as good as I can.

Yep, you can pet yourself on the back. It is turning out fantastic, I would love to see it in real life some day.
Just keep up the high level, the world is watching.

Thats one sick cruiser bro!!! I love those fenders and blinkers.... beautiful!!

I hate electrical with a passion, I swear! It makes me want to fight and break things,.... god love me. I don't know why I can be so paitent when it comes to fishin'. Cause' I lose it trying to play like I'm a real mechanic. In the future w/ my cruiser I'm going to make the wiring as simple and stripped down as possible. Only what I absolutly need, Keep up the good work!

Had to work on the daughters 4 runner today, but got a few things done. Got all the connections made for the trans, t case, VSS, low gear and NSS and got it all loomed and secured. Started on the heater lines too. Figured a way to route em, but I just am not sure how to mount em in place so the don't flop around.
Another positive, is that the wiring is basically done. It's ready to crank. All I need now is fluids, fuel and the exhaust.
