Rustydan finished the gauges up today and everything is working great. Dude is my hero!
While he was doing that, I got the power steering lines cut, made and installed. Few more connections to make and some loom protection to be done on the wiring and it's done. Hoping that next week I can get her down and get the exhaust run. Almost there!!!!

There's a PULSE!!!!

Can't do it yet!!! No fluids, no exhaust, and some open heater lines and fuel vent.
I'm dying to crank her.

Wow, everything is looking great. Getting close.

What day are you thinking of taking it to a muffler shop? If Saturday, let me know what time and I will be there with the trailer.

Dont worry about it jack...So I dont have to bother anyone with it, I just got a AAA membership. Its a good idea to have anyway, considering this hobby, so I just went ahead and did it.

Why is the volt meter not reading.

Is it supposed to show a reading without it running???

Great thread, I am doing a 5.3 out of a 2004 silverado with the 4l60e mated to a toyota transfer in my 72 fj40, the first time I moved it under its own power I didn't have the seat fully secured and I put it in reverse, barely hit the gas and went flying into the steering wheel like a spaz, I didn't have the mufflers on it so of course all the nieghbors came out to see what all the noise was! damn it, embarassing, but the power is great fun, can't wait to finally finish mine, your thread has been a great read, I could identify with alot of your issues, Les Schwab did my dual exhaust for 400 bucks last week and did a great job. I am not looking forward to buttoning up all my wiring! good luck I will keep checking the progress. -Matt

Only when the ignition is switched on.

Depending if Rusty screwed up the wiring on it or not. What a hack..

Yeah, it wouldn't read if you just pulled the light switch out, just freaked me out for a minute.

:flipoff2: I've screwed up simpler things.

Actually, I turned the key this am, and it still was getting a no read????
