Have you ever had a problem with the spindles tweaking\breaking? You can't gusset them, correct?

sorry for the slow reply. Got locked out of MUD for a bit as I couldn't access the email to get my password reset. We have yet to have any spindle issues (knock on wood) and correct. Not allowed to gusset them. We go through LCA's fairly often (bushings blow out) so assuming that the weak link before the spindle sustains any real damage.

Good to know, thanks for the response.

Do you guys replace the whole LCA, just the bushings or LBJ? I ordered some 555 LBJ’s for my LCA’s as my original’s are starting to leak grease at 52k km’s. I’ve not seen the bushings themselves have any issues though.

Oh wow! What a beautiful conversion😍😍
Actually, wouldn't an LC with a manual transmission have been a better choice as a base, or was this LC just good to buy at the time?

No manual transmission 200 series in the US. Not to mention auto is a much better platform for racing.

exactly. Left foot brake set up and auto is awesome. We started with a manual race car and I think going back would be very difficult.

we replace the entire LCA. We are sponsored by Karl Malone Toyota here in Utah so they hook us up with our suspension links. Better just to go all new.

Part of the reason is also because the LCAs take some serious abuse. Seems there is always the random hard hit that no on remembers, but now the sway bar and shock interfere

We‘re not dead yet!

We had a fantastic 2021 season racing the BOR series in Utah/Nevada and nearly our entire team went down to spectate and enjoy the Baja 1000. It was fun to camp, spectate and wander vs stress about race prep?

Monica is looking rough after a season of racing and minimal cosmetic repair.

The chase team & mobile spare parts :D

She looks happy to be playing in all that dirt.

She’s happy but deserving of attention.

We got together last week and did some interior cleaning and a thor post-race inspection. Rack/ends have play, we have a few wrecked tires, rear brakes/rotors are shot but other than that it’s doing quite well. We are getting together tomorrow to clean and do more prep.

It's amazing all the running gear, axles, suspension, and rack, puts up with 37s. Under race conditions.

It's race prep season. Tear down is near complete. From here we'll clean and inspect the chassis, tube work and suspension mounts. Both differentials will be torn down and inspected. All suspension arms, bars and links will be replaced. Game time.

So we've been working behind the scenes on some really exciting news and can finally announce it. One of the reasons we decided to again race the @scoreinternational Baja 1000 this fall was the announcement from @jaos_corporation in the spring that they would be racing an LX600 in the Stock Full class. We love the idea of racing old against new head to head.

After an introduction between @d.akahoshi, @tomonori_noto and us by @smallspears (the Cruiser/LX community is indeed a tight knit one) we have formed a partnership with Jaos to provide race support for the 1000.

Working with them has been a great experience so far and we're really looking forward to November when we not only get to compete against an all new LX600 with our well used LC 200/LX570 but also help them achieve their Baja 1000 goals. We're Land Cruiser people first and foremost. We feel honored to share our experience with a group of enthusiasts from Japan.

That is so freakin cool ^^
Well said.

@cruiseroutfit as race day gets closer can you give info on the best way to track progress and any cruiser-relevant race footage online?

Score offers live tracking when the race is underway. I'll be sure to share the link. There you can follow both of our efforts.
