It's to late now, but for posterity I'd like to add to the tool kit suggestions
Can of starting fluid.
Extra Vehicular fuses
400 grit sandpaper to clean up electrical connections if you need to, 1/4 sheet it probably plenty.
Little bit of dielectric grease again to fix a flaky electrical issue
Couple bucks in quarters in case you're deeply in a no cell zone & thrown back into the 80's.

Well I am in lusk Wyoming, tomorrow I am going to drive to mt.rushmore and check that out since I have never been. So far the cruiser has given me no issues, hoping to continue this tradition over the next day or two. I will post pictures after a bit. It is time for hot tub, sauna, and a good meal!

Well since I have a good internet connection here at the hotel I uploaded all my pics so far!
The tools for the trip, the black case holds my .45acp.
Sitting on the airplane for an hour without moving snapped this pic in boredom.
At Marc and Ritas house checking over the cruiser with Marc, Thanks again!
The bumper the PO fabricated, have to hand it to the guy he rocks at metal work just check out the weld quality!
Also he replaced the floors they look great I will get better pics later.
This morning I picked up a passenger from craigslist ride share that need a ride to Minnesota, but she wasn't moving her stuff into storage, so I removed my back seat and helped her move her stuff, loaded up the stuff she really needed to take to minnesota and took off around noon from colorado.
Her neighbors had a sweet lifted 4x4 van.
Getting some fuels in Cheyenne Wyoming.
Took a picture of the odo in cheyenne so i can calculate mileage when I get home lol.
Um yes, duct tape....the exhaust was getting into the rear through the gaps in the back, also draft.
Being from Minnesota I found this interesting.

Scenery.
Saw a trail and had to explore.
My hippy travel companion.
There were deer standing on the top of the ridge, but can't really see em cause of the sun, was very cool in person.

Back in 05 my wife and I did the best road trip we had so far from central CA to Nevada to Utah to Wyoming to Montana to Idaho back to Nevada to Tahoe in CA and back to Arroyo Grande CA! It wasn't in a 40 (I didn't have mine back then) but totally awesome!
We had lots of shorter ones but hope to go around again some time!
