forgot i had to fab up an air box.here is the sure fire way to cut once, mock up of cardboard then bend, ran out of time today to finish. The plan is to get fresh air from the louvers on passenger side of hood. If this doesnt work or has a flaw, i'll cut it up and go to plan B

shock towers

i figured that since the shocks are bolted directly to the fender tubing, some sort of support would be needed to keep the fenders tied in tight and minimize hwy vibration. This is what i came up with.

Brought it to the scale at local steel yard, came in at 5320 lbs, a little heavier than i anticipated, but thats ok.

Finally put the shocks on........got the shock tower brace back and in........Ordered a Howell MEFI 3 to TPI harness and computer, should've done this a long time ago in the build, this will gain me some mpg, cut down the super rich conditions and smooth out the idle. 10 more days. In the mean time, registration and insurance time!!!!!!!!! very amped to wheel this thing. Only thing that sux, is the passes wont open until june-ish......Moab is only right around the corner and its been pretty mild for snow in the valley so im sure we can find a few places to work out any bugs......Thanks to all who chimed in along this build,

would like to say thanks to the following outfits that helped achieve my goal along the way:

"Proffitts Cruisers", thank Jeremiah, John and Ian !!!

"C & R Powdercoating of Delta" .thank you sooo much Connie, Randy and Garret for the instant service of blasting and coating.

"Montrose Auto Body" paint looks amazingl in the sun

"Rhino Lining of Montrose" ......Thanks Ben, you did a beautiful job, inside and out.

Awesome!

You'll have to let us know how the air box works out.

X2. Of all the stuff that you have done to this rig, this is the one which makes me slap my forehead and wonder why I didn't think of it.

Is Jeremiah going to sell that box as a product? Fantastic!

.....The only thing Proffitts did was the suspension. If i had the correct geometry, i would've done that too......If you would like an airbox like that , it can happen, pm me.Thank you.

Got the tub back from Rhino Liners of Montrose, great job and great people. Did the underneath and inside in a very low texture. Now the real fun begins.....

amazing build. this is my favorite build hahahaha.

I Just got the same suspension set up, I need to install it. can you tell me is you like it, how does it feel? and if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay to have the inside and under of your 40 Rhino liner?
thanks

Do you have the details on those swivel lights?
I have tried to find them, but no luck. Do you have a make and model#?

Thanks

my weight is 5320lbs, so the springs were way too soft, bumped it up to 80 series, still too soft, then got different springs, loaded it on trailer and the p/s took a dump so i cannot anwser this as of today. Should have pump back by saturday. I will let you know.....as for the Rhino lining, i think it was around $350 inside and underneath.

a little pricey, but when you are stuck on the trail or setting up camp @ midnite, they are priceless. here is the link, hope it comes up. This was the cheapest i found them on the internet. If you do get them, drill a hole and put a weatherproof toggle switch right on the light, then when you need them, hit your dash switch (main power), then your toggle on light. 90% of the time you will use them when truck is parked and will only need one side or the other.

Damn well it won't be long and all the bugs will be gone

agreed, this is to be expected, i do not anticipate too many bugs, as this was very well thought out over a long period of time with no rush. All grade 8 bolts with lots of loctite. Im just glad i got the w/s wipers figured out.

Thanks

Thanks guys....Washed and waxed the Cruiser for the first time since i've owned it. Ripped the seats out...sold...waiting for the new Corbeau XPS Suspension seats. Ordered a new hydraulic assist set-up........
