did the right side tonight after work

The sides are not welded on yet, just sitting there. I may try and weld it all up solid and do the finish sanding and buffing tomorrow after work - we'll see how much energy I have.

Wow awesome

Hey Kevin,

Thanks for allowing me and others to poke around your "bed-assembly-line."

If you thought these beds look good on a computer screen, they look even better in person! :)

See you on the trails one day!

Cheers.

It was great seeing you guys/ gals and puttin a face to the screen name.

Deffffffinitly wanna see you all on the trail soon.

Next time the beer fridge will be stocked!

I'll echo what Kroll said. The bed is a thing of beauty when you lay eyes on it. And that rattle-maker hanging from your I-beam. I haven't been following this thread, but I'll have to have a good look through when I have a chance.

Next time the beer will come along for the visit. ;) When you have a chance to come out wheeling, you're more than welcome to spend some time running the pedals in Wobble Wagon.

Curtis.

Thanks guys!

Slow going right now. A lot of un-related seasonal stuff taking up my spare time. Basic plan now given the speed at which this month is passing is to deliver this bed and then do all the grinding required to assemble four more. Takes about a half hour to prep each wheel hump for example. That will more than likely take me to Christmas. Then I can get the four done, shipped and paid pretty quick.

Kevin

Kevin,
Bed looks great, I haven't seen any tailgates yet, you mentioned trying to replicate the embossed lettering, any luck? I also just wanted to confirm I am still on your list for parts from this round of builds? rear valance, wheel humps, tailgate LB 1966. As you get close to shipping I may see if you happen to have a few bed supports available too. Daniel Turner

Daniel - I will be on the tailgates soon and I will be doing the raised lettering. You are on my spreadsheet list for some parts and I have your deposit marked down as well. I do want to apologize to you and all of the customers waiting patiently for their parts/ beds. This bed build has taken much longer than I originally anticipated. I am working on it as much as I can after work and family time. I try to make some progress every day and still keep from getting burnt out because that'll do no one any good.

The progress most recently included delivering a completed bed just yesterday - here are a few pictures. We set it on the frame to check the fit. This is a 1980 frame and he is installing a 1HDT into this unit to be used as a daily driver. It's going to be an awesome truck for sure.

I have some video, I'll see if I can get it processed today and post it up here.

Thanks man, really enjoyed your trailer build. You exhibited the kind of details oriented thinking that I try to put into my stuff.

Refering to my video post above- ran out of time that day. I'll post some soon. Busy grinding today.
