Besides the casting differences I don't see the issue? Is there a different thread pitch? I'd be installing a new line anyways. Even when used every day 50 year old rubber is still 50 years old.

Cleaned up the original wheels. I left the face alone and just did the backside/ insides.

I couldn't be more pleased with the way the wheels and tires turned out. The tires are balanced with beads internally for a clean look. I chose basic Goodyears for their simple side wall and tread pattern, which I feel suit the rig.

I think Ed would approve.

That looks just like the kit from JT Outfitters that I used in my LV. It worked great for me, after I got it adjusted properly.

Yep, that's the one. I have a rebuild kit for the original master cylinder, but elected to go new AISIN. I plan on putting a few miles on the 45, so this kit makes sense.

Like Ed, I'm saving all the original parts.

Thank You for letting us all share in this great story.

This reminds me of a trip I had with many fond memories picking up a similar 45 not too long ago. You will look back at your journey many times in the coming years. I hope you took lots of photos.

Thanks again
Mark

You have to post topless photos..... Sorry if that makes you uncomfortable!
